We are looking for General Manager who can oversee the restaurants operations and plan and execute development startegies in a newly opening Turkish Restaurant.

Restaurant General Managers play a key supervisory role, providing leadership and decision-making for the business.

Job duties include:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish your own goals
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
• Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
• Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans

• Have full knowledge of all areas which are to be cleaned in the course of duty;
• Ensure all areas are cleaned/ sanitise efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards;
• Have full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by your line manager only after correct COSHH and equipment training has been given. Report any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use;
• Report any safety hazards or inappropriate compromises to the line Manager e.g. locked fire door, lifting flooring, lights not working etc.;
• Ensure that the specified safety signage is used at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and warn or advise customers where possible;
• To be aware of material expenditure and cost and avoid unnecessary waste;
• Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment stored safely at all times;
• Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Sodexo and report immediately any shortages or discrepancies found;
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean & maintained in safe working order. Report any defects to the Manager immediately.
• Comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place;
• Document completion of duties by completing forms, reports, logs, and electronic records and also reviewing the records after completion.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and legibly.
• Carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
• Carry out daily spot checks to ensure all areas maintain the highest standard.
• Administer the payroll for establishment staff and maintain personnel records to comply with statutory regulations and Company policy.
• Recruit, manage, induct, train, motivate and appraise staff to promote good employee relations and operate within Company procedures, legislation and the Investors in People standards. (Staff appraisals to be conducted at least annually). Maintain training records for all staff, ensuring that individual needs are recognised and met either through on or off job training.
• Comply with Company and statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
• To be agreed with Line Manager for particular location. K.P.I.’s to be monitored as part of performance review and appraisal process.
• To deliver consistent level of service within the company standards to the contract specification and agreed performance qualitative and financial targets.

Restaurant Captain Roles & Responsibilities

Restaurant Captains will be hired to provide the core service of the restaurant’s product. These individuals are responsible for delivering the guests’ experience on a day-to-day basis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties

1. Provide friendly, excellent and professional service to all guests.

2. Responsible for handling food and beverage orders and serving guests.

• Sweeping, dusting and mopping of building floor areas such as MPH, lift lobbies, corridors and staircases.
• Sweeping, mopping, dusting and wiping of all such as office, meeting rooms, dorm rooms, digital room, security office and laundry room to ensure cleanliness.
• Wiping of all lift panels and glass panels within the campus to ensure they are free of dirt and grime.
• Clearing of rubbish from the common rubbish bins and washing the bin centre surrounding area, rubbish bins and bin chambers.
• Sweeping the outdoor area such as carpark and multipurpose sports courts.
• Carry out monthly heavy cleaning tasks (pressure wash jet spray, clean refrigerators, microwaves, fans, etc.) and ad-hoc special projects.
• Cleaning and packing of cleaning equipment for next day usage.
• Water all plants within the campus.

Maintaining MPH, Kitchen and Pantry

• Assist in preparing drinks/snacks in meeting rooms. Ensure all utensils are washed and drinks/snacks are stocked well.
• Ensuring pantry areas and kitchen are clean and kitchenware and dinnerware are wash and properly kept.
• Ensure MPH is clean and free from any unwanted items.
• Wash all dishcloths for kitchen and pantry regularly.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies/chemicals in kitchen and pantry rooms are well stocked.
• Assist to stocktake pantry items and report to Housemaster when stocks are low.

Administration and Operations

• Ensure that the campus is free from any dangerous/hazardous items.
• Monitor scholar’s behaviours and correct them of any wrongdoings. Report any issues/wrongdoings to Housemaster if need be.
• Assist in teaching the scholars on the proper way of managing cleanliness.
• Assist in managing lost & found items.
• Informing any matters/feedbacks to the Housemaster when necessary.
• Report any damages/faults on equipment and facilities to Housemaster.
• Supporting any =Dreams events and other organisational activities
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Housemaster.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven working experience as a Cleaner.
• Possessed the necessary cleaning certifications.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and/or operate machinery.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong team player.
• Experience working with children, youth and low-income families

• Assist in basic bakery production and packaging work.
• General daily cleaning of bakery premises.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstation and equipment.
• Keep to the company's standards of food hygiene and safety practices in accordance to SFA regulations.
• Perform other ad-hoc work tasks as assigned.
• Flexible work timings and work days, to be discussed.
