The huge range of work carried out by the company includes pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, facilities management along with a variety of other engineering services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a general building operative - construction labourer to join the company supporting a high-profile project in Bedford, MK40 4UL.
Duties
As an experienced general building operative - construction labourer you will be working on site at a food manufacturing facility, assisting with the construction of a new extension to the canning line. Specific duties will include working with the tiling company to lay wall and floor tiles to the new production area. Typically moving tiles from the storage area to where they will be installed, mixing adhesive, preparing grout and keeping the work area clean and free from packaging. Other duties will include assisting the tilers as necessary and general labouring tasks including removing rubbish to skips.
About You
Based ideally in Bedford you will need to live within a commutable distance of MK40 4UL as no travel or accommodation costs will be covered.
Experience of working within a physically demanding construction environment and a sound construction background is essential for this work.
Due to the time critical programme of works you must be able to work on Saturday.
CSCS or an equivalent Construction Health and Safety qualification is preferred.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Junior Doctor to work at the Bedford Hospital Site in the Medicine division. You must be dedicated to providing high quality clinical care, maintaining clinical standards, and continually looking to drive positive change by developing the service.



Posts are available for 12 months initially, These posts are aimed at junior doctors who would like to gain more experience in medical specialties before committing to a particular career.



Your job will include a combination of direct clinical care, clinical education and personal development activities designed to support your career progression alongside delivery of the department’s service objectives.


Rotations through a variety of medical specialities including Cardiology, Stroke medicine, Elderly Medicine, Acute Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Emergency Medicine. You will be assigned a clinical supervisor and will be encouraged to keep a portfolio of your experience as well as participating in all departmental educational opportunities and attending outpatient clinics whenever possible.

The posts include an out-of-hours commitment, in line with our established F2/IMT/GPVTS/ACCS level rotas, which are fully compliant with the new junior doctor contract and the European Working Time Directive. Out-of-hours works includes both acute admissions and ward-cover.
• Routine and emergency patients must be seen and admitted expeditiously.
• Ward rounds and visits to individual patients as well as discussion with their relatives may be necessary.
• Keeping medical records as per GMC Good Medical practice is utmost; these must be dated and initialed, together with any other related administrative duties including discharge and clinic letters.
• The patient’s discharge summary paperwork is to be completed prior to the patients discharge. Clinic letters are dictated within clinic and typed by the secretaries.
• Supervision of the Foundation Year 1 doctors when performing clinical duties.
• Duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant(s), in consultation where possible with colleagues both senior and junior. Additional commitments arising under this paragraph are exceptional. In particular, the doctor will not be required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular basis.
• Agree to read and follow any protocols laid down (either in writing or verbally) for the firm in which you are working.

Clinical Experience

This is a non-training post but the Clinical Fellows will get wide clinical experience, supervised by consultant medical staff.

DUTIES OF POST

Routine and emergency patients must be seen and admitted expeditiously.

Ward rounds and visits to individual patients as well as discussion with their relatives may be necessary.

Keeping medical records as per GMC Good Medical practice is utmost; these must be dated and initialled, together with any other related administrative duties including discharge and clinic letters.

The patient’s discharge summary paperwork is to be completed prior to the patients ‘discharge. Clinic letters are dictated within clinic and typed by the secretaries.



Supervision of the Foundation Year 1 doctors when performing clinical duties.

Duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant(s), in consultation where possible with colleagues both senior and junior. Additional commitments arising under this paragraph are exceptional. In particular, the doctor will not be required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular basis.



Agree to read and follow any protocols laid down (either in writing or verbally) for the firm in which you are working.

In case of any difficulties ensure that advice is sought from a senior colleague.

This is an established post into the Bedfordshire Community MH Team Structure. The post will complement the current structure of consultant and trainee psychiatrists within thecommunity mental health team covering Bedford.

The post holder will support the multidisciplinary team in the management of patients subject to CPA, as envisaged in relevant NICE Guidance. The post-holder will work with an MDT including pharmacy, psychology, social work, CPN colleagues, and trainees. Post holder will clinically lead a sub-team within this service, overseeing the delivery of care under CPA for a cohort of patients registered with certain primary care clinical networks.

The Bedford community mental health team covers a borough population of approximately 103,000.



Deputy Simulation Job Summary

With support of the Medical Education Department, the post-holder will be responsible for the clinical and educational direction and good governance of simulation and skills training within ELFT Luton and Bedfordshire as well as supporting the Simulation Lead for Trust Wide simulation work. The role will look to establish high quality simulation and skills training programmes for doctors and other healthcare professionals in the Trust within a multidisciplinary simulation training platform.

This role will also work collaboratively with the Simulation Lead to set up a simulation programmed for the Trust.

The post-holder will:

1. Provide consultant leadership to the CPA recovery team.

2. Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of issues relating to mental and physical health for adults with acute and severe mental illness in the community (over 18 years) so that intensive and timely treatment can be delivered to prevent chronicity and dependency on psychiatric services.

3. Attend and be the clinical leader of weekly MDT meetings, supported by the team operational lead.

4. Provide clinical advice and guidance to primary care physicians to manage patients in the least restrictive environment

5. Undertake all work in the context of the recovery approach which is emphasised across the Trust, placing the service user at the centre of planning and decision making.

6. Fulfil Responsibilities as a Psychiatrist approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983, where relevant.

7. The service has a KPI targets and a requirement to meet them. The post holder will work with the Team manager to ensure the targets are met.

8. Provide support and training to other health care professionals and support service users through the care pathway as required

9. Lead on the delivery of high quality care in all settings and be mindful of quality targets set by the Trust and those set nationally.
