This position is with Office of Inspector General, INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT DIVISION - OPS, CCU, IMU, in Herndon, Virginia. This office is responsible for conducting assessments of criminal and administrative complaints of the OIG and fact-finding studies involving suspected or alleged violations of the Federal criminal code and other Federal laws, rules, and regulations. As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Assistant Special Agent In Charge) you will be responsible for:

Major duties include:

• Supervising investigations that may be local, regional, interregional, or department-wide in scope involving fraud schemes, civil false claims, DOI violations, and allegations of other crimes. Cases may involve a wide range of criminal, civil, and administrative investigative techniques.
• Administering the proper opening and closing of criminal, civil, and administrative investigations, ensuring that sufficient information exists to warrant opening the investigative file and legal jurisdiction is present for the OIG to conduct such investigations.
• Reviewing, editing, and approving reports of investigation to ensure they are in accordance with OIG policy and clearly communicate the results. Preparing detailed reports, position papers, and other documents concerning DOI program areas or identified vulnerabilities for policy improvements.
• Providing regular briefings and reports to management, attorneys, and bureau leadership regarding investigative findings and activities.

• The incumbent in this position is responsible for the opening of a brand-new VCS operation located in the Fredericksburg, Virginia VA Health Care Center, opening in February 2025.
• Incumbent will establish all areas of canteen operations relating to retail, food, vending, sales, merchandising, accountability and all other miscellaneous services of the canteen.
• Incumbent is responsible for a full range of personnel management, administrative controls, reviews, & processes relative to canteen operations. e.g., POG's, RPOS, inventory controls, stock schedule, food safety, sanitation, promotional programs, etc.
• The incumbent is responsible for attaining financial goals & implementing program objectives as established by VCSCO and/or Region Director.

• If selected at the GS-09 grade level, duties performed will be in a developmental capacity.
• Work with Finance, Inventory Management, Order Management, Technical/Quality and Procurement organizations and Process areas on resolving product quality, transportation, and supply discrepancies..
• Serve as the primary point of contact for monitoring inventory accounting and inventory-related actions.
• Resolve a variety of inventory problems, and coordinate solutions relating to inventory trends and transaction discrepancies.
• Perform reviews and analyses on inventory discrepancies, inventory accounting adjustments, and other factors to initiate corrective action and resolve difficult and unprecedented problems for actual or forecasted problem areas.
• Ensure inventory transactions relating to gains, losses, receipts, and issues are adequately processed and transactions related to requisitions, disposals, tests, and issue denials post to the appropriate records.
• Ensure Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Accounting (MILSTRAP) principles are followed and agree with financial records.
