This office is responsible for conducting assessments of criminal and administrative complaints of the OIG and fact-finding studies involving suspected or alleged violations of the Federal criminal code and other Federal laws, rules, and regulations. As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Assistant Special Agent In Charge) you will be responsible for:

Major duties include:

• Supervising investigations that may be local, regional, interregional, or department-wide in scope involving fraud schemes, civil false claims, DOI violations, and allegations of other crimes. Cases may involve a wide range of criminal, civil, and administrative investigative techniques.
• Administering the proper opening and closing of criminal, civil, and administrative investigations, ensuring that sufficient information exists to warrant opening the investigative file and legal jurisdiction is present for the OIG to conduct such investigations.
