• Oversight and monitor the development of subsidiaries’ overall policies, procedure, guidelines etc. to ensure compliance with applicable law, regulations and corporate policies.
• Management, verification and provide guidance to ensure compliance of the subsidiary's governance and operations.
• Manage services related to management contracts and brand royalty contracts concluded between the Company and its subsidiaries.
• Provide guidance on the management of necessary licenses, approvals, and notifications for subsidiaries, as well as on responding to matters pointed out by the relevant authorities.
• Provide guidance, advice, and coordination to subsidiaries in dealing with financial systems, laws, and regulations (foreign investment control laws, business-related supervision and regulations, personnel affairs, and withdrawal).

You will:

• Perform varied routine legal support or law-related functions.
• Research and interpret legal and regulatory material for use by the supervisor or coworkers
• Collect data from a variety of reference sources in office and prepare documents for use by attorneys or other legal support staff.

Responsibilities

External Communications

1. Develop the communications strategy in alignment with key business priorities

· Handle all media queries (proactive and reactive)

· Develop press releases, FAQs, talking points, and narratives when required

· Develop media briefing documents, media interview facilitation and pre-interview spokesperson briefing when required

· Media engagements with key media (mainstream, local business, energy media)

· Research, identify and pitch for stories/interviews as appropriate

· Daily media monitoring to constantly stay ahead of developing digital media channels in order to mitigate risks or exploit opportunities

· Develop single narrative and ensure messages align

2. Implement and deliver branding/image

· Act as one of the main points of coordination within the Group

· Assist in developing and managing the Group’s initiatives

· Brand profiling and positioning as required

· Brand guardian of the company’s branding and corporate content materials

3. Develop and maintain digital media presence

· LinkedIn account

· Maintain and update website contents

4. Establish presence in the industry by aligning narratives about our business and participate in industry-driven forums, etc.

5. Crisis Communication

· Act as central point of contact with Energy Market Authority’s Communications team

· Oversee crisis communications with key stakeholders, including preparation and drafting of holding statements

Internal Communications

1. Drive and align information throughout the organisation

· Sharing and alignment of information about the industry, the business and the Group

Job Requirements

· Preferably a Degree with strong passion to work in the communications space

· Minimum 2 years of experience in Corporate Communications or PR agency

· Resourceful, and able to work both independently and in teams

RESPONSIBILITIES

BW Group is seeking an SOX Executive to join our SOX Team with the responsibility to design and implement SOX controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") regulations. Your primary focus will be on understanding end-to-end business processes and controls, including identifying control design gaps and testing operating effectiveness of controls. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure internal controls are effectively designed and operating efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the SOX compliance efforts including annual risk assessment and scoping exercise, assessment of controls design, controls effectiveness validation, timely tracking on gap remediation according to the relevant framework surrounding the ICFR (e.g. COSO, PCAOB, SEC guidelines, etc)
• Update SOX test plans and performs test work in accordance with the relevant frameworks
• Collaborate with business departments and IT to provide guidance to ensure proper alignment with SOX requirements and ensure controls over financial reporting are effective
• Assist with the SOX training and refresher to stakeholders to enhance awareness and quality of SOX controls
• Support the preparation of reports on SOX compliance status to senior management and the audit committee.
• Collaborate with Internal and External Auditors and other stakeholders to support the SOX audits and reviews

• Degree in Accounting / Finance or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience required in SOX or audit compliance, or a similar role; Big 4 experience strongly preferred
• Analytical with problem-solving skills and proficient in utilising tools (e.g. Visio, SOX compliance software)
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver results within defined timelines
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to understand comprehensive process flows and control matrices
