Cleaning Supervisor - Required December 2024
Salary range: £25,584 - £26,835All Year Round, Permanent contract @ £13.26 per hour
20 hrs per week (Actual salary pro rata range £13,829 - £14,505)Monday - Friday 2.30pm – 6.30pm We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and motivated person to lead our cleaning team. If you are able to monitor and supervise cleaning staff to ensure a high standard of cleaning to all areas of the school is achieved, then please apply.Main responsibilities: Undertake the cleaning of the school to ensure a clean and hygienic environment. To ensure adequate staffing levels are in place to cover all areas at appropriate times of the day. This will include recruiting staff where necessary, in line with school procedures. To ensure cleaning staff are appropriately trained to fulfil their duties. To monitor effectiveness of cleaning staff and take appropriate remedial action where necessary. To maintain adequate stocks of all cleaning and hygiene materials, including controlling and monitoring a full stock control system. Ordering all materials as necessary in line with a best value policy. Keep Health and Safety records, including COSHH, up to date To maintain holiday and absence records for cleaning staff, liaising with the Operations Manager. To liaise with Site Manager regarding evening events and holiday maintenance works. Ensure all toilets are fully stocked with consumables (i.e. toilet rolls) on a daily basis. To record duties worked in line with timesheets and pass information on to Payroll & Personnel Officer to agreed deadlines. To undertake cleaning duties as and when required. To carry out other duties as required, commensurate with the grade of the post.This is not a term time only post.

We are seeking to appoint a confident, capable and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to line manager a team of SM6 cleaning assistants and ensure that the school cleaning procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently.
You will be an organised and hardworking person who can be flexible and adaptable to changing situations and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Under the direction of the Trust Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of cleaning services in accordance with the cleaning specification, ensuring that the school is cleaned to a high standard. You will also be responsible for assessing and monitoring the cleaning standards within the designated areas and provide training to cleaning staff as required.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team of staff who are committed to providing the best possible service for our students and staff.

The Head Housekeeper will be overall responsible for heading up the housekeeping team. This is a hands on role that will involve management and development of the housekeeping team, maximizing the performance of the team, maintaining the high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail that is already being achieved and working closely with the facilities manager (FM) to continuously improve the standard and aesthetics of the School. It is the Head Housekeepers job to ensure the service is operated safely, hygienically and to contractual specifications. This includes helping us achieve our goal of shrinking our environmental impact by supporting the facilities manager (FM) in effectively managing our recycling and waste removal. The role will be based at our senior School site, but you will also be responsible for overseeing our Prep School site.
