Monitoring standards of work of the housekeeping and laundry team to always maintain high cleanliness standards. Supervising and directing the work of the housekeeping team, providing instruction and demonstration to new staff on cleaning tasks and materials. Reporting to the Group Director of Operations, the post holder will directly manage the relevant directorate and will have specific cross-directorate responsibilities within the Group as delegated by the Group Director of Operations. They will be responsible for ensuring operational safety, efficiency and effectiveness of services, effective clinical governance and risk management within the directorate, and budgetary and workforce management. You'll be working full time 40 hours a week at Cygnet Kenney House, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care. Developed in collaboration with the NHS to with the aim to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home. There will be three wards at Cygnet Kenney House; The PICU and Acute environments will offer rapid access to care, supporting women to move quickly and safely through to the most appropriate and least restrictive setting. The role of the Housekeeper is to work within the Trust Facilities Management structure to ensure that the housekeeping service supports clinical colleagues. Key areas of responsibility; to ensure the environment is cleaned to National standards. Deliver meal/beverage service, Bed making, cleaning medical/hard equipment. Manage linen quality and report Maintenance issues. Critical to the success of the role shall be the provision of a service that is safe, efficient and which delivers a quality environment in a timely manner that promotes the health and well-being of the service users and which is in line with the Dept. of Health, CQC, PLACE & NHS standards including the Hygiene Code & new government standards relating to food, hydrationand better hospital food etc., throughout the whole organisation. The housekeeper will enhance the patients experience by ensuring that the clinical environment is presented and maintained in a way which maximises the patients sense of comfort, safety, and well-being.
