• Operates as Assistant Fire Management Officer and works on a wildland fire team to complete wildfire suppression and prescribed burning actions, directing work of other natural resources personnel, and equipment operator.
• Operates a variety of wildland fire equipment including crawler tractor with fire plow and transport truck.
• Serves as senior Forestry Technician assisting forestry personnel and directing the work of other natural resources personnel and equipment operator in the technical planning and implementation of a variety of forest management activities.
• Develops inspection plans and monitors forestry contract operations on the installation to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Responsible for the timber marking program. Plans, coordinates, conducts, and directs timber marking activities and forest inventories. Uses automated systems to analyze data and prepare maps.

Such assignments may include but not limited to:

• Assists maintenance workers in performing general maintenance, repair and/or alterations to such items as: doors, floors, floor covering, walls, ceiling, windows, electrical switches, receptacles and light fixtures, commodes, wash basins and showers.
• Assists in performing repair of recreation/mess equipment and appliances and other related maintenance and/or custodial duties.
• Assists in the performance of simple plumbing repairs, replacing faucets or washers; repairing toilet flushing devices; clearing clogged drains, and tightening leaking pipe joints.
• Assists in the performance of light maintenance on air conditioning units and intermediate maintenance on equipment in the facility.
• May assist in the performance of minor electrical repairs to switches and boxes, and replace electric lights, fuses and fixtures.
• Drives motor vehicles to and from work sites, warehouses, and dumps.
• Maintains maintenance shop in a safe and clean condition.
• Observes environmental, safety, security and housekeeping rules and regulations.
• Performs a varied of recurring duties to maintain and ensure upkeep of all MWR department ball fields,parks/picnic areas and outdoor recreational areas throughout a multitude of MWR programs CAT A,B, and C.
• Dragging, raking, installing bases, home plates and pitching rubbers, laying out foul lines and playing field boundaries, repairing backstops, and mowing grass on near all MWR recreational facilities.
• Trims, edges, rakes and mows grass at all assigned MWR recreational areas and playing fields.
• Polices all MWR assigned areas, collects and disposes of trash and garbage, usually using a pickup truck or light duty vehicle to transport to disposal area.
• Operates a light duty vehicle, grounds maintenance equipment, which includes weed eater, trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers, push and riding mowers.
• Assist in the preparation of activities, indoor and outdoor, for special events and program support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible for providing the administrative control necessary to manage the Facilities office.

Coordinates budget data and information to keep an updated budget account for the department.

Maintains up to date information regarding the status of work requests, work order and B&F projects.

Assists in monitoring the progress of all construction projects at the institution.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.

Duties:
1. Reads and interprets prescriptions, obtains proper medication or material in the proper strength and dosage form, determines proper amount, and counts, pours, or measures the medications; affixes proper label; and records required data on Pharmacy's copy of prescription/order. After a final check by a pharmacist, dispenses medication in ambulatory care or discharge situations.
2. For unit-dose medications, performs final review of medication when prepared by another technician, to be dispensed to inpatient areas (med-carts, ward stock), and/or fills unit-dose carts independently without secondary review when necessary.
3. Collects drug use evaluation data for quality improvement purposes as required.
4. After prescription/order(s) are reviewed by a pharmacist for therapeutic propriety, reviews orders for technical accuracy and converts the order, if necessary, so that the item dispensed corresponds to the drug and dose ordered.
5. Answers questions from pharmacy and non-pharmacy personnel regarding drug distribution procedures and timeframes for delivery.
6. Identifies basic therapeutic problems such as duplicate therapy with drugs in the same class and alerts the pharmacist to the possible need for clinical intervention.
7. Assists in total quality improvement activities by participating in medical center and service process assessment and action teams, continually seeks to improve services.
8. Ensures all look alike, sound alike, high alert, refrigerated medications are stored properly according to manufactures recommendations and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) requirement.
9. Monitors inventory needs in-patient care areas, relays this information to the appropriate Pharmacy personal. This also includes placing stock in proper storage areas, rotating stock on shelves and removing/replacing outdated items.
10. Maintains a training/education manual for the focus area assigned.
11. Provides training and mentorship to new or existing staff.
12. Assists with monitoring refrigerator temperatures daily in pharmacy service by following up on alerts from the automated temperature monitoring system and relocating medications when refrigerators are out of service.
13. Assists with inventory management and ordering of medicines and supplies.
14. Performs all the duties of lower graded technicians, if required.
15. Understands requirements of USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, disposal of hazardous materials, safe medication distribution and electronic prescription processing.
16. Assists inpatient Pharmacists with filling and delivering of new medication orders and/or missing dose reports in a timely manner to ensure appropriate patient care.
17. Complete all other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Varies Based on Position

• • Inpatient Pharmacy Technician: Monday - Friday, 0800-1630. May be required to work some weekends and holidays based on coverage needs.
  • Inpatient Pharmacy Technicians - Sterile Compounding: 7on/7off, Monday-Friday, 0600-1830, Saturday-Sunday, 0600-1630.
  • Inpatient Pharmacy Technicians - ADM: Monday-Friday, 0700-1530 or 7on/7off, Monday-Thursday, 0830-2000, Friday-Sunday, 0830-2100

• May be required to work extra weekends and holidays during periods of staffing shortages. Tour of duty is subject to change based on agency's needs.
