Due to substantial growth within the Technical team a permanent position for a Senior Binder Technician/Binder Manager has arisen.
Your new role
Your new role working as a Senior Binder Technician means you will be providing guidance and support to teams in relation to Delegated authority business and assisting in the management of all Internal and Third-Party binding authorities including the monitoring of declarations and bordereaux.
Duties will include preparing new and renewal contracts for all delegated authority business, preparing renewal presentations and statistics for all binding authorities and/or line slips, and provide reporting, addressing DA performance, and ensuring binding authority limits and guidelines are adhered to. Other duties will also include the management of Lloyd's DCOM, DDM and Atlas systems, producing and monitoring quarterly premiums for Third Party binding authorities, issuing triangle statistics and managing and assisting new Coverholders applications. Also, deal with Profit Commission calculations and collections on binders, providing statistics on contracts, territories and lineslips as well as provide management information on agents on a quarterly basis.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Senior Binder Technician or Binder Manager handling International Binders will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have knowledge of general insurance business and be confident in FCA and Lloyd's Market requirements. You will need market, industry and product knowledge and be proactive in keeping knowledge up to date. You will have numeracy and literacy skills as well as communication, organisational and data analysis skills. You will act with integrity, due skills, care and diligence. You will need experience in systems such as Atlas, DCOM, DDM, Lloyd's Crystal, Aims (Lloyd's Audit), PPL, Whitespace and Microsoft Office Suite.

Aim of the role

§ The post holder will be responsible for preserving the good condition and infrastructure of the newly built Jane Atkinson Health and Wellbeing Centre (JAHWC) and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning.

§ The goal is to ensure the JAHWC is problem-free and safe so that staff can work under the best conditions providing quality and efficient services to patients and service users that attend the site.

§ Take the lead for the management and on-going monitoring of all Hard and Soft services delivered on site to ensure effective delivery. Ensurecleanliness, safety and security of the JAHWC building at all times and report issues to the appropriate team.

§ To manage, identify and collate requests for minor works on site and subsequently manage the implementation and completion of works to the highest standards. Ensure any service/ maintenance issues receive prompt attention and are resolved within acceptable time parameters and all interested parties are kept fully informed.

§ Be an active member and contribute to building House Committee decisions regarding building management, develop and implement agreed strategies to support the on-going building maintenance.

§ Ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental management systems are in place and maintained and that issues identified or reported are managed in line with Trust procedures.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time).

We are looking for a suitably experienced pharmaceutical senior production technician to join our chemotherapy aseptic preparation and dispensing team based in Guy's Cancer Centre. The candidate should be an enthusiastic team player who is able to demonstrate excellent organisational & training skills, effective communication, and has an excellent working knowledge of GMP and manufacturing experience of pharmaceuticals.

Strong foundations in GMP practices, preparing PQS documents such as deviations, change controls and CAPA documents is required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supporting the Principal Pharmacy Technicians (Aseptic Services) in the running of the chemotherapy unit and supervising the production operators in the clean room environment.
• • To ensure the safe, efficient and compliant manufacture of a range of pharmaceuticals under section 10 exemption of the Human Medicines Regulations 2012
• Ensure excellent GMP practices are maintained at all times
• • To train junior staff members in aseptic production practices
• To supervise a cohort of pharmacy assistants and production technicians in both preparation and dispensing activities.
• To participate in the aseptic technical verification of screened prescriptions in EPIC
• To manage the workload in both cleanrooms and support areas
• To ensure that effective usage of the raw materials is undertaken and minimise wastage
• To ensure that daily physical monitoring is maintained and QMH courier is organised in a timely manner for daily delivery
• To act as team lead on weekend working

The Chemotherapy Preparation and Dispensing Unit is located at the Guy's Hospital Site and produces a variety of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) for use within the hospital trust for patients.

A satellite Cancer Centre unit is based at Queen Mary's Hospital (QMH) - Sidcup that offers our cancer patients the opportunity for treatment closer to home.

CPDU works in close collaboration with the Quality Assurance team and other pharmacy aseptic services units in the Trust across sites; licensed and unlicensed units.

As an overview general duties include the following, for full details refer to the JD provided.
1. To supervise all technical aspects of aseptic preparation and to ensure products are made to the highest quality, enforced by GMP and QA systems and that they are fit for their intended use.
2. To act as a role model to staff working throughout the department.
3. To undertake any other reasonable duties as specified by the Principal technician and senior team.
4. To assist in recruitment and selection of staff to the Trust’s Pharmacy Manufacturing unit and assist in recruitment to the pharmacy as a whole.
5. To be the responsible supervisor critical checker within production areas and to undertake when required preparation and dispensing of raw materials and other products.
