An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at an R&D Facility in Bedford for one of the UK's biggest brands. The role would be perfect for an engineer who has been in a maintenance role but is looking for a step into a more Projects/Automation based position. Because this isn't a manufacturing facility there is no need to work 24/7, the position is Monday - Friday across 8 hours with flexibilty around the starting times.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
Reactive and breakdown work on Mixing machines, Pasteurizers, freezers, motors, pumps
Supporting the supervisor on Control projects:
Main tasks are to repair, design, plan, build and wire, program, commission and modify electrical panels and control systems - These are used in the construction of test rigs, prototype machines and pilot plant equipment.
Take on some of the Electrical and Control Design aspects of systems and produce drawings
Repair & Fault Find Control Systems
Writing machinery manuals
PLCs - Siemens TIA Portal & Rockwell
