Service & Repair Technician - Exeter - Permanent £30,000 - £40,000 per annum - Dependent on experience

Hours of work:

37.5 hours a week

Monday - Friday 8.30am- 5.00pm

Job Role:

To service and repair the full range of Professional and Home & Garden cleaning equipment in a workshop environment, as well as perform onsite customer repairs when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair the full range of Professional cleaning equipment in both workshop and field environments.
• Record all work performed, complete relevant service reports, and liaise with customers and internal office staff.
• Promote and sell maintenance contracts and other accessories.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle in a satisfactory and safe condition at all times.
• Control inventory of van spares.
• Uphold and promote the brand at all times.
• Carry out additional duties as requested by management to meet business requirements.
• Attend training, meetings, and company events.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent, including English and Maths.
• Preferably qualified in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Preferable knowledge of the service and cleaning industries.
• Experience in a workshop engineering role and/or working with cleaning equipment.
• IT literate.
• Ability to find, diagnose, and resolve technical problems.
• Good communication skills, both internally and externally with customers.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.
• Full UK driving license.
• Willingness to travel.

Facilities Management Business Partner
£40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits, including company car (Work level 6A)
Field Based role covering a selection of Co-op Food Stores and Funeral branches in the South of the UK, in Birmingham, Worcester and Bristol - with some outlying sites. You must live in or close to these areas to be able to meet the travel requirements for the role.

In this role, we'll look to you to provide an excellent FM service to circa 130 sites. In this varied role, you'll build relationships with colleagues and suppliers across your region and at our support centre, becoming the key partner for any facilities issues. Your responsibilities will range from handling facilities escalations, to collating information to support decisions on strategy and investment. You'll also be our first response following major incidents such as crime and flooding so the ability to work under pressure and think on your feet is a must. It's a big job. But one where you'll get the chance to develop your profile in a role where no two days are ever the same.

In this role, you can expect to

* Deliver operational facilities management consistently and to a high standard across your sites
* Visit sites periodically, engaging and building relationships with field colleagues and partners
* Build meaningful relationships with 3rd party suppliers and make sure services are delivered to a high quality, in time and within budget
* Carry out property audits and inspections, making decisions on how to best maintain our assets in order to keep our colleagues and customers safe and our sites trading
* Work collaboratively with our property teams to support the delivery of capital programmes
* Play your part in providing out of hours support across your division on a rota basis
* Work closely with the senior business partner to plan activity and tackle more complex issues

This role will suit people who have

* Strong experience of working in an FM role and of managing single/multi sites
* Experience of supporting re-fit activity
* A talent for building and managing strong relationships with a broad range of colleagues, field leaders and partners
* Good general IT skills with the ability to use programmes in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams etc.)
* Great organisational skills: you'll be highly self-motivated and able to prioritise and organise your workload effectively and work on your own, whilst also being part of a high functioning team
* A full UK driving licence
