As a Static Multi-Skilled Engineer, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation and performance of all building systems, including electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment, carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- To oversee the general maintenance and repair of the site, including electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
- Undertake regular planned preventive maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports
- Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring
- Carry out inspections and testing of electrical systems
- Ensure that all work is performed in a timely and professional manner, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance call and provide excellent customer service to the store's personnel
- Liaise with and oversee third-party contractors as required

Qualifications & Skills:

- Proven experience in a similar role within a commercial environment
- A strong electrical background is essential (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent is required)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Competent in mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Excellent fault-finding skills and ability to solve complex technical issues
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships with staff and third-party contractors
- A strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently

Catch 22 are currently working with an education provider looking to appoint a hands on Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to support with the upkeep and running of their academy in Bradford.

The ideal candidate will have relevant hands on experience in building maintenance and will be responsible for the completion of the estates maintenance repairs and PPM's, H&S compliance, reporting and providing general administrative support for the facilities department.

Core responsibilities for Facilities Maintenance Supervisor include:

• Carry out general maintenance works such as portering, grounds upkeep, replacing carpet and ceiling tiles, fitting whiteboards, minor plumbing and electrics.
• Support in the planning, development and organisation of systems, initiatives, procedures and policies.
• Conduct office building inspections and manage facilities projects.
• Carry out routine risk assessments, procedures and compliance checks and ensure any legal provisions relating to Health and Safety at work are properly adhered to.
• Take accountability for your team's performance, managing daily work plans, actively participating in performance management conversations.
• Conduct regular building checks to make sure that our buildings are clean, safe, and secure.
• Conduct office building inspections and manage facilities projects.
• Support out of hours.

Ideal Candidate:

• Able to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of estates maintenance and a hands on approach.
• Excellent knowledge of IT software
• Understanding of H&S processes, IOSH would be advantageous
• Ability to supervise projects, contractors and small projects
• Have an excellent organised, methodical and accurate approach to work and able to work under pressure.
• Undertake an enhanced DBS check (On offer of role)
• Driving Licence

Role package:

• Permanent contract
• Salary around £35,000
• 37.5 hours, 8am-4pm Mon - Fri
