As our Academic Coach and Technician in Plumbing, you will provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning.

To provide and deliver training of a technical nature to support curriculum delivery to students and teaching staff.

Under the instruction/guidance of the Deputy Facilities Manager provide maintenance and security services on the Academy sites and premises. You will be based at one of our schools in Coventry but will be required to work at all of our sites nearby.

Technician – Animal Management

We are looking to recruit an experienced Animal Management Technician for our brand-new Animal Management facility. The unit comprises of multiple rooms housing a wide range of small mammals, exotic mammals, aquatics, reptiles, herptiles and insects.
You will be responsible for organising and carrying out routine care of our animals and their brand-new facilities and ensuring a high degree of animal welfare. The role will include managing a small team of part time technicians and rotas to always maintain cover in the unit. Also planning rotas for lecturers to utilise rooms for the requirements of our students on various Level 1,2 and 3 courses along HNC/HND. Maintenance and ordering of stock and equipment will also be essential.
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with animals and a related qualification. Ideally you will have worked as a technician before in a similar setting, but are looking for a new challenge to grow an already established department. The experience to work with small groups of students would be an advantage. The college is planning to establish a dog grooming and training facility in 2025 so any expertise in this area would also be desirable although not essential.

The Role
Hallfield School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and competent IT Technician, with relevant experience in a similar help desk role, to assist in providing essential day-to-day user support and network and systems maintenance across the School.
The post holder will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of PCs, laptops, printers, audio-visual components and other network devices as well as experience of supporting users within a Microsoft Windows environment.

The Role
Hallfield School is seeking to appoint a skilled Estates & Maintenance Assistant to assist with day to day maintenance and compliance of the School estate. This is an integral role within the Estates team and the successful candidate must be confident to lead and complete projects such as minor alterations and refurbishment tasks.
NVQ Level 2 or above in any trade such as carpentry, plastering, plumbing or construction would also be advantageous. In addition, any experience in multi-trade skills would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities
As a vital part of our automotive department, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the workshop, ensuring that all equipment and tools are in optimal condition and in safe working order. You will play a crucial role in supporting our students and staff by providing technical assistance, overseeing practical sessions, and contributing to the development of our automotive curriculum.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Our ideal candidate has hands-on experience in the automotive industry, a strong understanding of modern vehicle systems, and a passion for education and training. Under the instruction/guidance of the Deputy Facilities Manager provide maintenance and security services on the Academy sites and premises. You will be based at one of our schools in Coventry but will be required to work at all of our sites nearby.
You will be responsible for the provision of a wide range of services, providing a safe, clean, warm and secure environment for all authorised users of the Academy and visitors on a late shift pattern. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Lock/unlock Academy buildings and areas. Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks. About the Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive candidate with excellent organisational skills and a keen interest in sport for the newly created role of PE Technician. The PE Technician would be part of the Sport and Nutrition faculty, supporting the practical function on a day to day basis, also offering the opportunity to support after school activities.
This permanent position is 37 hours per week, term time only (including INSET days).
The initial rate of pay is the equivalent of £13.24 per hour, paid monthly over 12 months. The pay scale has five spinal points and increments are awarded in September until the top of the pay scale is reached. The actual starting salary is £21,972 per annum.
