Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham, England.
Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts, days and nights (42 hours per week)
Salary: £48,000 per year, weekly pay
Overtime: 1.3x on weekdays, 1.5x on weekends
Benefits: Pension contribution up to 6%, 24 days holiday including bank holidays
The Company:
My client is a market leading manufacturing company that is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The business manufactures products that are applied within the aircraft and aerospace industry and supplied globally.
They are seeking an engineer to work on their team with experience within an industrial manufacturing industry or similar work environment.
Reporting in to the plant manager, your objective will be to ensure the efficient upkeep of all machinery on site.
Responsibilities will include:
-Diagnose faults or point of failure, repair equipment to ensure safe operation, correct function, reliability and equipment availability
-Repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment such as heavy plant presses, hydraulics, pneumatics and rolling mills
-Involvement in project work
- Supporting the production team with advice and support on operational issues.
Working closely with the engineering team and plant manager, the role offers training opportunities for the right candidate leading to recognised qualifications on different types of equipment.
Requirements:
- Experienced within a manufacturing environment
- Strong Fault diagnosis and repair skills.
- Multi skilled with an electrical bias.
- Experience working on industrial size machinery including hydraulics, pneumatics,
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or apprenticeship with served hands-on experience
- Steam generation experience (beneficial)
