The job holder is the Specialty Gas Production Technician who reports directly to Specialty Gases Operations Specialist. He/she must have high standard of safety and environmental awareness.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• The production technician shall start blending jobs according to production planning This includes preparation and inspection of the empty cylinders and to send to the respective blending booth.
• All cylinder's inspection process needs to be carried out as per operation procedure and relevant work instruction.
• The technician should be able to interpret laboratory results correctly.
• The technician shall check and maintain the equipment/instrument of the department in good working condition.
• The technician shall prepare document according to work instruction and jobs assigned by the supervisor.
• The technician shall provide on-site customer service if required.
• The Technician shall follow the company’s safety policy and is responsible to ensure that safety precautions are undertaken in the working place.
• Demonstrate an ability to look after the general well-being of the plant

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum diploma in Chemistry or equivalent
• 1~2 years relevant experience in the gas industry.
• Basic MS Windows / Office and SAP knowledge
• Able to drive forklift

• Ensure cargo transportation as per contact with efficient turnaround of vessel

About the Opportunity:

Established in 2021, Brown Arts Institute (BAI) is a university-wide research enterprise and catalyst for the arts at Brown that creates new work and supports, amplifies, and adds new dimensions to the creative practices of Brown’s arts departments, faculty, students, and community. Through year-round programming, research-focused courses, initiatives, collaborations, and partnerships, along with rigorous artistic and academic programs, BAI commissions and presents new work on campus, across Providence, Rhode Island, and beyond, from students, faculty, and on-campus arts groups, as well as in collaboration with forward-focused visiting artists and other performing arts organizations.

The Director of Design and Production (DDP) reports to the Artistic Director and is responsible for ensuring that the overall design and execution of productions taking place in any existing or future BAI venues meets exemplary professional standards. The DDP must maintain the highest level knowledge of all BAI venue specifics, including all technical and safety requirements, and is responsible for working closely with all programmed artists, as well as internal and external designers, to ensure that projects - including BAI commissions and transfers from other venues -  are appropriately designed for BAI venues. The DDP creates technical budgets, calendars, and staffing plans in collaboration with the Artistic Director and Producing Director, and is also responsible for identifying, recruiting, and managing all technical staff assigned to the BAI and BAI venues.  An active participant in the engineering, planning and execution of designs for all productions, the DDP, when necessary, submits designs to shops or rental houses to solicit bids and manages fabrication or rentals to meet set, costume, lighting, sound, and projection needs. The DDP ensures that standards of safety are observed by serving as the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) representative for the BAI. The DDP may play a direct role in instructing students by offering design and production classes at the discretion of the BAI Leadership, and provide mentorship for those engaged in the production-oriented aspects of BAI offerings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
●    Work with Artistic Director, Producing Director, Director of Programs and Operations, and internal and external teams to ensure all production and design needs of BAI produced events are met, are professionally managed, and are working within established budgets and BAI and University policies and procedures.
●    Recruit, train, and supervise a robust production staff including Technical Directors, Assistant Technical Directors, department supervisors, on-call-staff and student assistants as well as stage managers, carpenters, riggers, stagehands, electricians, wardrobe, lighting and sound programmers. 
●    Meet regularly with department heads and staff to ensure ideas are exchanged, responsibilities defined, staffing needs are discussed, budgets are completely outlined and understood, spending practices are appropriate; and morale is maintained. 
●    Ensure that staff complies with all health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Operates Press to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications:

    Operate Press, troubleshoot and monitors operation.

    Prepares Press by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by precise control of feeding, adjusting color to match customer’s goals, register and clean product to exceed the customer’s expectations.  Press Operator should be knowledgeable of all the functions of the Offset Press.

    By performing a variety of make ready tasks utilizing quick and easy settings for high productivity and precision operations, resolves any defects and adjustments to produce a high quality product.

    Works with General Technicians working on equipment.

    Makes adjustments, clears jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.

    Ensures efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.

• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains all hot water boilers, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, auxiliary equipment consisting of water pumps, cooling towers, control air compressors, pneumatic/electric control valves, humidifiers, and exhaust fans. • Inspect building facilities to identify building maintenance needs ensuring the beautification and upkeep of the Facility. Perform preventative maintenance inspections/tasks per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and document maintenance concerns/resolutions; providing action plans and status reports as needed. Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to Supervisor, HVAC/R Mechanic. Has a general knowledge of DNV, NFPA, AADMS, ADA, OSHA, local, state and federal codes, requirements or regulations and is in accordance with Riverside policies and procedures. Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, mask, hearing protection, and gloves as needed.
• Operate and maintain a variety of work-related tools and equipment such as power saws, drills, air compressors, and various hand tools required. Responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials, and work area.
• Performs/Assists co-workers outside of related skill when required during manning short falls or in an Emergency situation to include but not limited to: General Facility Maintenance, HVAC/R, Plumbing, and/or Electrical work.
