- Independently performs a wide range of warehousing duties, to include receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, pickup, and delivery of general, oversized, or specialized bulk materials and equipment.
- Oversees process on Supply and Transportation Discrepancy Reporting; determines whether material was properly packed for shipment to conform to specifications and regulations of Department of Transportation and carrier requirements.
- Operates electric, gasoline, LPG, or diesel-powered forklift trucks capable of lifting loads.
- Secures hazardous, and non-hazardous cargo prior to shipment.
- Drives one or more types of trucks such as pickup, panel, and flatbed trucks, which typically have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or less, on public roads at highway speeds. Utilizes safety practices and procedures, complies with established safety rules and regulations, and maintains a safe,
clean, and secure work environment.

• Operates one or more types of heavy equipment to push, pull, pile, or load materials such as sand, gravel, earth, coal, moving and covering refuse, and clearing brush, rocks, tree stumps, and other material.
• Maintains, repairs, and constructs flexible roads, pavements, parking areas, airdromes, bike paths, or similar surfaces of asphalt
• Maintains, repairs, and constructs rigid pavements or similar cement and concrete surfaces.
• Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

• Responsible for development, implementation, analysis, and revision of the master production schedule for aircraft maintenance production plan throughputs.
• Implements and controls the master production schedule, to include evaluating lead-time changes, assessing unanticipated materiel/production problems and their impact on existing schedules, controlling priorities and meeting critical milestones.
• Performs studies and projects on issues of productivity, quality, capability, functions and work processes, and the use of manpower to determine whether substantial modification is required to improve the efficiency of the entire production plan.
• Assists the overall scheduling effort through the monitoring of the information contained in applicable maintenance/production/supply data systems.

• Provide ground and facility maintenance and device support within ranges and facilities that accommodate military training and personnel.
• Inspect, test, service, adjust, install, replace, clean, and troubleshoot electronic target systems including hard wired and radio frequency communication systems, portable (non-standard) devices and electronic targets.
• Operate computer systems that are configured to operate range targets and support target scenarios and range operations.
• Repair and fabricate electrical wiring harnesses and connect wiring to support thermal target systems.
• Provide operator level maintenance (i.e., keeping connectors clean, etc.) on lead acid and gel cell batteries and solar panels.
• Operate riding tractor with mowing attachments and operate weed eaters.
• Perform building inspections to include checking foundations, walls, flooring, roofs, doors, windows, guttering, and building approaches.
• Apply paint to interiors and exteriors of buildings and equipment after repairs are made.

• Performs maintenance on a variety of target equipment.
• Ensures continual operation of systems to facilitate uninterrupted unit training.
• Maintains target pits, bunkers, and berms by clearing weeds, picking up debris, etc.
• Turns-in and picks-up equipment at higher echelon repair facility. Prepares work orders and enters into log. Documents equipment usage.
• Performs all operator maintenance on assigned vehicles and prepares required records.
• Operates a Range Control Station (computer unit), monitor, keyboard, printer and hard drive PC.

- Assists in accomplishing inventories by counting items and properly completing tally listings and other inventory documents.

- Operates forklift trucks, automated material handling and identification equipment to include mobile stock selectors and electromechanical automated equipment such as high-rise automated storage and retrieval vehicles to move, stack and unstack, load and unload, bin, and position material.

- Performs material handling duties, including the use of tools and other equipment, in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures, and complying with established safety rules and regulations.

Major duties include but are not limited to;

• Moderate physical effort is required in the frequent loading and unloading, lifting, bending, pushing and carrying furniture with an average weight of 100 pounds up and down stairs, without the benefit or an elevator.
• Furniture Mover Truck Driver in the Environmental Management Service (EMS)responsible for the movement and relocation of all furniture to and from designated areas throughout the Medical Center.
• Assists in the periodic inventory of furniture.
• Disassembles and/or assembles furniture by hand and uses common tools exercising care and caution in handling of same. Assures the items are not damaged; and reports all damaged furniture to the immediate supervisor.
• Responsibility for the furniture store rooms and their security.
• Operates station motor vehicles in the performance of his/her assigned duties with gross vehicle weight of more than 7,000 pounds and Jess than 22,000 pounds and capable of carrying loads up to four tons. Vehicles include: vans, panel trucks, trucks, station wagons and pick-up trucks.
• Additional duties assigned.

Cooling Season
During the cooling season, which is determined based on weather conditions, facility needs, and leadership (General Forman, Assistant Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, Associate Director, Medical Center Director) instructions to start the chiller plant, the incumbent operates a centralized multiple zone air conditioning (Chiller) plant that serves the medical center's Buildings. The chiller plant consists of multiple chillers (steam, gas and electric), cooling towers, chill water systems, supporting equipment, and Building Management Systems (BMS).

The incumbent is also responsible for other chillers, chill water systems, and supporting equipment outside the plant serving other spaces within the medical center.

On a continuing basis, incumbent logs pressures and temperatures of components to include but not limited to compressor, engine, gear box, chill and condenser water lines, and all other components and systems that has reading devices.

Non-Cooling Season
During the non-cooling season, which is determined based on weather conditions, facility needs, and leadership (General Forman, Assistant Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, Associate Director, Medical Center Director) instructions, the incumbent will perform maintenance, installation and servicing of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment throughout the medical center. Assignments includes but not limited to lubrication of motors, blowers and valves, monthly preventative maintenance, changing and cleaning of filters and coils, cleaning and painting of equipment; punch tubes on chillers and condensers, diagnose equipment malfunctions, repairs on a variety of refrigeration and air conditioning units such as walk-in freezers, ice making machines, window A/C units, package units, split AC units, reach-in refrigerators refrigerated centrifuges, Air Handling units (AHU). and any other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor, Maintenance and operations supervisor, Assistant chief engineer, and chief engineer.

The incumbent performs other duties as assigned as directed by immediate supervisor, Maintenance and operations supervisor, Assistant chief engineer, and chief engineer. including but not limited to preventive maintenance, work orders, and to enter all work performed into electronic work order system and update shift trouble logs.

Work Schedule: Monday-Sunday, rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends to support 24/7.

Physical Requirements: Incumbent is required to climb ladders, reach and lift heavy loads of over forty pounds and walk long distances in a regular work. Incumbent is required to perform a great amount of kneeling, bending, stooping, standing and climbing. Employee must be able to wear safety and protective clothing and /or equipment presented for the work setting. Incumbent is required to work both indoors and outdoors, in poorly lighted conditions, in all types of weather. Incumbent might have to work in areas of temperature extremes in plant or is exposed to changes in temperature while working on outside equipment, roof exhaust and ventilation fans. Noise level, when machines are in operation (cooling season) is high, requiring the use of ear plugs to prevent damage to the hearing. Other protective devices such as goggles, masks, and gloves may be needed periodically. Occasionally works in contaminated areas and is exposed to communicable diseases when changing filters, etc. Operators are also subjected to noxious gases, cuts, bruises and scrapes.

What you will be responsible for:

• Band saw processing with overhead crane operation. The successful applicant will be extensively trained

• Packaging and labelling of steel orders in preparation for collection and delivery

• Some light computer skills will be required

• Hours are 6am to 2pm or 9am to 5pm

• Forklift licence and experience (desired)

• Experience with overhead cranes (desired)

• Current driver’s license and own transport

• Sound understanding of health and safety
