About the Role

You will work under the supervisor of the production Manager. You will be expected to monitor production of all goods,
effectiveness of services, ensure an accurate amount of goods are produced at the right quality and cost and to provide
administrative support to production staff. To provide a professional and effective production service, ensuring that goods are
handled appropriately, limiting the risk of damage and the distribution of goods.

The role involves assessing weekly production plans, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety standards, and maintaining
high hygiene levels. You will be responsible for overseeing production, staff management, and ensuring product compliance with
specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assess weekly production plans and manage daily staff requirements.

The Role:

• The primary function of the Production Technician is to assemble products in accordance with the Company's processes.
• Build and assemble pre-builds, assemblies and finished goods as advised by

• Pick parts required as per a works order from Sage
• Use tools and equipment in line with instructions

Guidant Global is collaborating with our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, to find a proficient Electrical Calibration Operator. The role involves carrying out regular calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) equipment.

What we're looking for:

• Develop clear and comprehensive calibration & maintenance records.
• Experience in calibrating COTS/Special to Type Test Equipment
• Experience working on Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) is desirable.
• Knowledge in calibrating electrical test equipment such as Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, etc.
• Understanding In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
• Capable of following the manufacturer's instructions, and an excellent understanding of SAP would be desirable.
• Approved Apprenticeship/Apprenticeship Framework/Modern Apprenticeship

• Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Calibration and Maintenance Operator:

The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the Operations team. They will perform initial calibration, routine calibration, and maintenance of test and measurement equipment, ensuring that factory and proprietary equipment is in line with current procedures. The candidate will follow departmental processes and procedures to carry out calibration and repair tasks and generate comprehensive calibration/maintenance records for traceability purposes.

Tentatively work across several departments, these might include:

1. Looming: binding wire looming is a cable assembly that efficiently distributes electrical signals by linking cables together using a crimping tool. (Ex; wiring, root wiring, and fibre optics cabling),
2. PEC and CCA Assembly
3. Plastics Department (Ex; applying glues, cutting out intricate patterns, and moulding).
4. Manufacturing Control/ Stores (Kitting, SAP, Picking goods inwards).
5. Must be comfortable working under a microscope for most of the work.

What you'll get to do as a General Operator (FA) - Soldering - Night Shift only:

• Perform precise assembly and manufacturing tasks according to established procedures, quality standards, safety protocols, and deadlines.
• Soldering micro-components to circuit boards.
• Help streamline the flow of work and information in the manufacturing area.
• Adhere in all activities to agreed standards and behaviours.
• Comply with all health and safety requirements.
• IPC 610 certified / trained preferred.

Our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Test Engineer to join their core team in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative defence and missile industry projects. Your primary responsibility in this role will be to perform production tests and diagnostics of complex weapons at the system and subsystem levels.

What we're looking for:

• HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualifications or equivalent, plus good experience in digital & analogue electronics manufacture and testing.
• Comprehension of measurement and testing principles, as well as the equipment associated with them, is essential. Please let me know if you require any further assistance.
• Having a grasp of RF and microwave technology at the subsystem level would be beneficial.
• Environmental testing, including Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), would be beneficial knowledge.

• Manual handling and ESD training.

What you'll get to do as a Production Test Engineer - Electronics:

The candidate's responsibilities will include testing complex electronic and electrical equipment and diagnosing production test failures down to the component level. They will need to identify corrective action promptly, ensuring that Manufacturing can continue production in line with the programme. Additionally, they will be required to assess issues with test equipment and direct support services to resolve equipment failures. The candidate will also evaluate technical issues and propose investigations, corrective actions, and process improvements. During Defect Review Board meetings, the Test Engineering representative will ensure that equipment progress and quality notifications are handled efficiently towards corrective action.
