Position Objectives

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. To lead daily shift meeting.
2. Record headcount attendance and location
3. Establish performance line discipline.
4. To ensure products in right quantity and quality (follow schedule plan)
5. Coordinate with MI immediate leader, organize line workload and staffing depending on product priority.
6. To ensure products are produce in right to levelling fulfillment requirements and update.
7. Enforce 5S activity.
8. Updating shift changeover.
9. To do BOM checking for change over.
10. Updating hourly report.
11. To check and do material TO confirmation
12. Take immediate action on breakdown escalation.
13. Responsible to safety update and environmental
14. To do scraping after inspect and confirm the defect of defective materials before disposal.
15. Responsible for physical inventory count
16. Follow up record training and operator skill check.

1. Lead and motivate the team to achieve company and departmental goals: -
   a) Utilization Relative
   b) Quality indicators
   c) Cost Per Placement
   d) IDC (Internal Defect Cost)
   e) SMT Change Over
   f) Delivery Performance
   g) Safety Indicator
2. Monitor and strive to achieve Daily SMT loading based on planned schedule. To analyse attainment failure and diligently work on backlog recovery.
3. Co-ordinate with other MOEs regarding PCBA delivery related matters.
4. Actively involve in headcount hiring, planning and distribution to ensure optimum operation. Ensuring timely headcount replenishment.
5. Regularly review and work with trainer to refine operator On-Job-Training to enable trained operator quality at optimum duration.
6. Responsible for 5S, Employee Suggestion (ESS), Near miss reporting, waste reduction, LPA, OPL monitoring and closure.
7. Coach and train Production Leader, Milkrun, SMED Team and Operators for continuous improvement and personal development.
8. To lead the team on their daily duties and to conduct their annual performance appraisal.
9. Passionate in leading team for continuous improvement projects.
10. Participate/Lead Daily Leadership Routines (DLR1) meeting with leaders and operators.
11. Participate/Coordinate for any line audit preparation. Actively involve in audit findings closure.

BROAD  FUNCTIONS : 

• Coordinate on DET testing and publish results accordingly.
• Ensure all data are uploaded to OLSPC in timely manner
• Guzik tester capacity and resources planning.
• Data analysis
• Competitor analysis and FA.

RESPONSIBILITIES : 

Regular

• Work with Sputter Process and coordinate with technicians on DET testing activities and priorities.
• Monitor DET results closely and advise sputter process for tuning accordingly whenever necessary.
• Resources and tester capacity planning in supporting all DET testing activities.
• Involve in drive build and internal component data analysis and provide valuable opinion to improve internal product performance.
• Propose DET specification to Product & Sputter group based on process capabilities for specs revision during mass production.
• Supervise and coach a group of technicians to perform routine tasks.
• Support all DET testing for internal process evaluation.
• Understand and accept responsibility for performing jobs safely
• Follow safety and health rules and regulations

BROAD  FUNCTIONS : 

• New product transfer specifically in DET (Dynamic Electrical Test) measurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Liaise with NPI & Sputter process on new SMO or new program line qualification activities.
• Monitor DET data and results closely and discuss with sputter process accordingly
• Understand the methodology for new test module from GO/SZ and buy off prior to release to production floor.
• Responsible for benchmarking on a continuous basis among internal and external disk and be involved in product comparison.
• Resource and tester capacity planning in supporting new program or SMO activities.
• Responsible for analysis on data, component vs HDD correlation and GR&R.
• Always deal with PHO and THO head team to ensure continuous head supply with the required specification.
• Prepare and present EVT package for new program in order to get HDD team agreement to build into drive.
• Involve in drive build data and correlation analysis and provide valuable opinion to improve internal product performance.
• Compile and propose Guzik specification to Product & Sputter group based on process capabilities during EEN/FEN/DPPM qualification stage until mass production.
• Supervise and coach a group of technician to perform daily task.
• Support DET testing for internal process evaluation.
• Understand and accept responsibility for performing jobs safely
• Follow safety and health rules

As Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining specific tools on a media manufacturing production line. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12 hour AWS Shift and overtime, as required by the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance per PM schedule. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.
• Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool maintenance system.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machine to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Document routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures details on system database
• Provide inputs to Shift Coordinator or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce media scrap and cost of ownership.
• Provide Technical training and certification for junior technician.
• Support Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer for machine conversion/upgrade and improvement projects.
