Blow Mold Machine Operator  
Reports To:  Production Supervisor 
 
Job Summary 
Blow Mold Operator coworkers efficiently, effectively and safely operate the blow mold machines and other support equipment.  Operators ensure high quality finished products are being produced and meeting production volumes for our customers, while working in a fast-paced and quick changing environment.

Specific Responsibilities / Essential Functions 
1.    Ensures all machines are kept running and producing quality bottles while ensuring the least amount of down-time possible.  
2.    Follows production schedules and communicates any changes to team members when necessary.
3.    Start-up and shut down of blow mold machine and supporting equipment.
4.    Organization ability to complete daily cleaning and adequately maintains good housekeeping throughout the area.
5.    Checks and monitors quality on all assigned machines by understanding and recognizing all visual quality defects and how to make appropriate adjustments to correct quality defects. 
6.    Maintains all required documentation for quality checks and testing, process checks, downtime, housekeeping and data entry. 
7.    Operates forklift safely and efficiently.
8.    Displays a full understanding and working knowledge of all related software and other equipment required for efficient production of quality product. 
9.    Follows all established safety rules and guidelines.  Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and Supervisors.
10.    Properly uses all required personal protective equipment. 
11.    Performs other related duties as directed by the Production Supervisor.
12.    Product Safety regarding cleanliness and notification of any observations that may create a product safety concern.
     11.   Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents in their departments.

SUMMARY
Operates and maintains forklift to supply production operations with raw materials top produce finished product, transfers finished product to storage or staging area and ensures finished product is loaded onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customer delivery requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.    Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instruction, visual management and computer interface.
2.    Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished produce.
3.    Prints and scans Bill of lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner
4.     Inspects finished goods for quality defects.
5.    Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
6.    Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements.
7.    Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences of tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
8.    Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies lead/supervisor of discrepancies. 
9.    Effectively communicates with all internal departments.
10.    Removes/Reworks and damaged product on pallets.
11.    Maintain a clean work area and preforms general housekeeping duties.
12.    Follow all HACCP, GMP and Product Safety rules and guidelines.
13.    Train current and new members of the department to performs job related task as needed.
14.    Learn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available.

Projects in this role require the fabrication of complex and unique parts and the development and application of unique fabrication solutions to the creation of scale physical models. These models are then used to evaluate vessel structural, hydrodynamic or signature properties.

 

The technician will apply a comprehensive, intensive, and practical knowledge of a wide range of skills to develop and execute innovative methods to produce high tolerance finished components and models. This requires the technician to independently plan and carry out assignments in accordance with the Model Fabrication Facility policies and standard practices.

 

Working Conditions:

 

The technician will frequently work inside and outside of buildings. S/he will work in cold weather. S/he may be working in the hot sun. S/he will work in environments where ventilation or respirators may be necessary. S/he must be safety minded about themselves and others. • Determine proper bend radii for a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including aluminum alloys, mild steels, high yield steels, stainless steels, copper, and bronze alloys.  Analyze and determine whether pre or post heat treatment, artificial aging or annealing of materials should be performed to allow the material to be formed using the tools and equipment available.
• Use analytic techniques and technical knowledge to diagnose and determine root cause of fit and finish deviations and other fabrication issues.  Develop methods and processes, with the support of technical specialist and program engineers, to ensure that the issues are resolved in production processes and similar issues are reduced or eliminated in future tasks.

Forklift Operator

Reports:           Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY
Operates and maintains forklift to supply production operations with raw materials top produce finished product, transfers finished product to storage or staging area and ensures finished product is loaded onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customer delivery requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.    Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instruction, visual management and computer interface.
2.    Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished produce.
3.    Prints and scans Bill of lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner
4.     Inspects finished goods for quality defects.
5.    Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
6.    Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements.
7.    Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences of tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
8.    Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies lead/supervisor of discrepancies. 
9.    Effectively communicates with all internal departments.
10.    Removes/Reworks and damaged product on pallets.
11.    Maintain a clean work area and preforms general housekeeping duties.
12.    Follow all HACCP, GMP and Product Safety rules and guidelines.
13.    Train current and new members of the department to performs job related task as needed.
14.    Learn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available.

EDUCATION
High School diploma or general education (GED): or one to three months related experience and / or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

        
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operate and maintenance instructions, and procedure, and manual. Ability to write routine, reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and precent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variant of instructions furnished in a written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid driver’s license and forklift certification are required. The forklift certification must meets OSHA requirements and is required to perform the essential duties of this job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT    
Job is performed near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in outdoor weather. Safety glasses are required to be worn. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection to be work.  GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.
