Production planner/scheduler needed for a permanent role in Bibra Lake, paying up to $90,000 per year + Super Your new company An innovative and passionate Australian-based company requires an experienced Production Planner/Scheduler due to company growth. Your new role As a Production Planner / Scheduler specialising in the planning and scheduling of multidisciplinary engineering production, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining and improving the detailed production schedules for CSS's Envirocart technology. * Develop and manage detailed production schedules for multidisciplinary engineering projects. * Utilise advanced planning and reporting tools in Microsoft Project to create and maintain schedules (i.e. key requirement). * Coordinate with engineering, procurement & logistics, production and finance departments to ensure production activities align with overall project and business goals. * Liaise with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project coordination. * Analyse production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and risks. * Conduct critical path analysis and develop solutions to optimise production processes and address identified issues. * Determine manpower requirements to meet production demands in a timely manner. * Identify and report on long lead procurement items and develop strategies to mitigate their impacts. * Track actual production costs against budgets and provide timely reports to management. * Produce accurate and timely weekly reports for the Senior Leadership Team on production status, progress updates including performance metrics (e.g. SPI, CPI, Cash flow Reports and EVM & Man-hour S - Curves). Make recommendations to eliminate / mitigate scheduling issues and to accelerate the schedule. * Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process. * Implement and uphold best practices to maintain high standards of safety and quality. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment to enhance efficiency, cost, quality and safety. What you'll need to succeed Educational Background: Preferably a tertiary technical qualification in the mechanical discipline. * Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in production planning and scheduling within manufacturing operations, project management or engineering environments. * Technical Skills: Demonstrated high level of proficiency in production planning and scheduling in Microsoft Project. Excellent knowledge of production planning / scheduling and quality control principles. Experience in MS project, Primavera P6 or other scheduling tools. Working knowledge of MS Office. High level of proficiency with MS Excell Knowledge of LEAN principles is an advantage. Cost management. Analytical skills.
