The Role

The Role

Burnley FC in the Community’s Veterans Programme supports members of the Armed Forces community from across Burnley and East Lancashire. We support and run a number of projects within this programme to help Veterans connect, tackle loneliness and isolation, and improve health, fitness and wellbeing.



As our new Veterans Project Officer, you will act as the point of contact for the team and liaise with the Veterans Programme Manager and other associated staff to ensure the success of the programme.



The new role will lead our new National Champion support for Veterans programmes across the UK. Continuing to work alongside North-West’ Veterans Places, Pathways and People (VPPP) leads for consultation, the role will assist other Sports Club Charities across the UK to set up and maintain a Veterans specific offer.



The role will also support activities during our Veterans Wellbeing Hub at our Whitehough facility and act as support for other sessions across the programme including Football and Fitness.

• Understanding, organising and recording the availability of all new care workers
• Identifying growth opportunities
• Forming strong relationships with all stakeholders
• Working closely and communicating with other members of the team, professional bodies and family members to ensure the best possible outcomes for all stakeholders

Success in the role will be measured by:

• Ensuring member utilisation targets are met
• Assessing branch performance against weekly, monthly, and annual targets
• Reviewing effective shift rostering, including forward planning, in ensuring all service users have suitably allocated care and support.
