As a TST North Caseworker, you'll play a key role supporting people in the community. People we work with are offered 1-1 support from their named Caseworker, who initially identify and assess the needs of new clients, and who deliver support to people to:

Move into, and sustain, their tenancies - providing support and advice on housing difficulties, e.g. rent arrears, disrepair or neighbour disputes, and urgent support for people facing eviction
Promote their health and well-being - Facilitating access to, and advocacy at, health services and appointments
Be financially resilient - Providing benefits advice, supporting people to maximise their income and to reduce debt and arrears
Be more independent - We support people to move to permanent, and more independent, housing after 2 years or at the appropriate time

Lead the team in the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the project. Maintain the project initiation document and associated plans with regular team meetings to monitor progress and resources. Demonstrate effective stakeholder management. Support other project managers as and when required. Take into account the impact of any change the projects will have on the business and oversee handover of any products to ensure full ownership and buy-in within the business Advocate the projects at senior and executive levels and ensure active engagement and sponsorship within NHS as a whole. Ensure that the projects maintain business focus, have clear authority and that the context, including risks, is actively managed in alignment with the strategic priorities of NHS.

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team at the heart of decision-making at NHS England; working on national programmes, but often working closely with local health systems; experimenting and implementing ideas set out in the LTP and solving cross-cutting system issues which are not limited to a specific clinical area or policy.

Working closely with colleagues across NHSE and other stakeholders Strategy Advisors will be involved in driving forward specific programme workstreams.

The position will work across a range of projects and all will include:
• Delivering projects using core Strategy Team skills, including analytical and issue-based problem solving, and qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Project managing agreed Strategy Team projects, including management of interdependencies within NHSE and with other NHS national bodies. Ownership of specific project workstreams, seeing them through from start to end including problem-definition, analysis and communicating findings.
• Managing stakeholder relationships and communications related to Strategy Team projects.
• Arranging workshops and meetings and working in group situations to solve problems and build buy-in to solutions.
• Helping to manage and mentor Strategy Analysts.

To oversee team members to deliver requirements listed above and engage and liaise with key stakeholders, in particular;
• To support the delivery of day to day activities, projects and programmes
• To manage team and drive delivery of a range of business initiatives and projects
• To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment
• Support the portfolio of initiatives in demonstrating value for money for the current spend
• To monitor, interpret and quality assure progress against deliverables to NHS England and Improvement that often require adjustments specifically in relation to the complex corporate business agenda, strategic objectives and the business planning process
• To develop business plans and provide expert strategic and policy advice and guidance on all areas of the National Director’s portfolio
