What you’ll do day to day:

You’ll work closely with our crews & establishments (Prisons, Courts etc) to ensure custodies are transported on time and in a safe & secure manner. Using a number of IT applications you will be responsible for monitoring the vehicles and responding to emergency alarms raised by crews. You will work with multiple agencies ensuring the safe and secure delivery of the custodies return to their destination! It doesn’t always run smoothly though, so you’ll need to be quick on your feet to adapt to any unpredictable changes and deal with any incidents or challenges that occur throughout the day!

What you need to do the role:

If you are detail oriented, highly organised, resilient with exceptional communication skills, then we want to hear from you! Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a similar role, when you have been involved in organising large scale logistics / scheduling plans in a large geographical area! You’ll be computer literate with the ability to quickly assimilate large volumes of data/information. Experience is not essential as we will provide full training, however if you do have experience in a similar role, it would be highly beneficial.

Job Title: Test Systems Project Manager/Control Account Manager

Duration: 6 months

Location: Bishop Cleave - hybrid working model

Pay Rate: £75 per hour via Umbrella company

Role Purpose:

The Project Manager / Control Account Manager within Test Systems utilises experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can successfully influence short-term and some long-term business goals. Accountable to the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for delivering the scope associated with the designated control accounts (CAs), within the committed cost, schedule, and quality constraints.

The Test System Department designs and develops state of the art custom test Hardware and Software, Test Harnesses and Documentation for all up and coming Avionics Products being designed and built within our facility. Working closely with 3rd party manufacturing houses to produce TE to our requirements. We also design and manufacture a variety of smaller test boxes, breakout boxes and test cables to support NPI development.

Key Accountabilities:

• Leads the project execution of the assigned engineering team to deliver on commitments … co-ordinates and organises teams, motivates and guides, provides leadership and vision … drives execution excellence, in a compliant manner.
• Engages with support functions across the matrix where necessary to deliver engineering objectives.
• Makes commitments to the Engineering Project Manager (EPM,) on behalf of their team, for delivery of the assigned scope against the agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Engages functional organisations to secure the resources and skillsets necessary to deliver the assigned scope. Works with functional leaders in identifying and resolving any performance issues with the assigned team.
• Drives Risk Management best practice, quantifies engineering risk to the EPM via a local engineering risk register. Pro-actively plans risk mitigation activities within the team to minimise project impacts.
• Works to identify and quantify internal and external dependencies and ensures dependencies are reflected within the project plans.
• Works within the program and project change process to ensure that any agreed scope changes, are 'consumed' by the engineering team in a controlled and co-ordinated way, and the change impacts are reflected into the detailed engineering plans
• Adhering to the sites Monthly operating Rhythm (MOR), updating the detailed plans for the assigned works, and interfacing with the Program Management Office (PMO) to submit monthly status and plans to the project IMS. Prepares variance reports and works with the EPM to identify and, where possible, resolve cost or schedule variances.
• Supports the EPM in stakeholder reviews, including internal program or business reviews, and external customer reviews … generates the necessary KPIs and operational data for the assigned CAs to support these reviews
• Performs as first point of contact (POC) in managing external suppliers. Facilitates the necessary technical interactions between the supplier and engineering team. Escalates and works with the EPM to resolve any supplier performance or contract negotiation issues.

• This role requires demonstrated experience in the Project Management field.
• Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

As Conservation Project Manager you will bring together project management skills, specialist conservation and collections care expertise, problem solving, and team leadership skills to deliver collections projects at NCC. More information about NCC can be found below.

Reporting to the Group Conservation Manager, you will work collaboratively and proactively with other Project Managers and departments to enable the Conservation team to deliver Masterplan and Collections Services projects. This includes ensuring that conservation and collection care elements are correctly scoped and resourced and that conservation budgets are managed accordingly.

You will manage and matrix manage conservators across several projects. Using your conservation specialist knowledge of materials and practices, you will help your team plan works and review processes to ensure they are fit for purpose, making decisions to improve efficiencies and ways of working.

Full time (35 hours), Fixed term contract until Dec 2025 - Hybrid working from Wroughton Office.
Offering £40,133 per annum

There may be the possibility of the extension for this role depending on the Science Museum Group work programme.

You will have solid experience of conservation project management with the ability to analyse, forward plan, coordinate and manage people. Your New RoleIn your new role as a Project Escort, you will be working alongside the operational security team. You will have many different responsibilities, which include escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison, visitor and toolkit checks, main gate duties and vehicle searches. Maintenance works scheduler required for large maintenance specialist with housing contracts across the south and west country. Working alongside an experienced contracts manager and friendly team of field-based engineers, you will plan and coordinate engineers for domestic boiler repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance for our clients.

Your duties will be varied but will include: - Dealing with field-based engineers via phone and email communications. - Arranging service and repair appointments direct with customers and client representatives whilst scheduling these appointments with the appropriate engineer using our state of the art planning software (Full training will be given). Dealing with enquiries via telephone and email ensuring that the customer has had a positive customer journey. - Comply with and support company procedures.

Requirements - A good understanding of basic Microsoft packages including Excel and MS teams. - Flexibility and adaptability to work under own initiative and in a busy office environment as a team. - An ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads. Able to work one Saturday per month paid at O/T rates.

Your new role
As the Production Planner, you will be reporting to the Production Planning Manager with a dotted reporting line into the Head of Supply Chain. You will be expected to manage the production schedule whilst using their integrated software, SAP. As this role is a linchpin to their operation, you will be expected to manage upwards amongst your peers, think quickly, and adapt to changes within the production facility. You will need to communicate clearly with multiple divisions, including Materials, Sales, Production, Engineering, and Logistics.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Production Planner vacancy, you must have proven experience of working as a Production Planner, Materials Scheduler, Demand Planner or a similar role within the Supply Chain. Ideally, you'll have worked with SAP or a similar integrated MRP / ERP system previously. It would be highly advantageous to have worked within the Aerospace supply chain, but this isn't crucial to the success of your application.
