What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for an Informatics Project Manager to provide knowledgeable project management and technical project management staff who shall be responsible for day-to-day interactions with collaborators, stakeholders, outer agency contractor developers, and extramural collaborators to support the operations, maintenance, enhancements, and additional functionality required by the Global Substance Registration System (GSRS) program. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Rockville, MD.
- Work within the Informatics interest group to identify and exploit synergies among projects to improve and adopt processes that can be shared among teams.
- Facilitate project communication including coordinating meeting logistics (setting agendas), delivering minutes (outcomes, action plans, tasks, and key decisions), drafting, and delivering status reports as well as creating presentations and developing its content.
- Establish project reporting guidelines, monitor, and consolidate status updates.
- Support collaboration by attending meetings, understanding requirements, and documenting proposed solutions.
- Document and maintain documentation of requirements, code, processes, architecture agreements via code, Github, Wiki, application notes, and release notes.
- Lead the establishment of best practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment, using technologies such as Jenkins, Travis, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud), Maven Central in support of the teams and collaborators (NCATS ITRB ARE, US Food and Drug Administration, US Pharmacopeia, European Medicines Agency, etc.).
- Develop project management documentation including administering cloud JIRA and manage GitHub code submissions.
- Monitor, evaluate, review and report progress to project owners and upper management, including the development and tracking of project budgets.
- Research project management best practices and new industry standards.
- Act as a liaison with other agencies and organizations when necessary for project completion.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 14 years technical project manager or data processing experience
- Agile project management: planning, conducting, and executing agile ceremonies.
- MS Project: creating and maintaining complex project schedules.
- Analytical, organizational and time management skills
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Project management, website content management
- Meeting coordination, minutes, and summary reports
- Create documentation deliverables such as: presentations, status reports, user guides, testing plans or reports.
- Conduct outreach activities
- Perform data analysis
- Experience with JIRA or GitHub helpful
