Supervisory Duties:

• The incumbent oversees the daily operation of the unit, ensures that agency policies and priorities are being followed; develops performance standards; and evaluates work performance of subordinates.
• The incumbent gives advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
• The incumbent hears and resolves minor complaints from employees; refers group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager; effects minor disciplinary measures such as warnings and reprimands and recommends action in more serious cases.
• The incumbent interviews candidates for positions in the unit; recommends appointments, promotions, and reassignments to unit positions; identifies and provides for training needs; and finds ways to improve production or increase the quality of work within the area of authority.

• Serves as an administrative advisor to the Chief, Pharmacy. As such, the incumbent provides a key role in assisting the Chief, Pharmacy in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, both long and short-range planning, budget, guidelines, and proposals for efficient and effective utilization of resources and the operation of the division. The policies and procedures concern all aspects of the organization including budget and fiscal management, supply, service and equipment procurement, human resources and workforce utilization, contract negotiations, initiation and oversight, construction and renovation, and space utilization.

• The Business Manager is responsible for working with the Chief of Pharmacy to establish a long- and short-term strategic planning process within the Pharmacy that will consider and effectively integrate resource management planning; the missions of the VHA, VISN, and healthcare system; and the identified needs of the Pharmacy. They oversee the revision of long-range plans, goals and objectives for the Pharmacy for the accomplishment of Medical Center, VISN and/or national level program initiatives. Assists Continuous Quality
  Improvement (CQI) service in Pharmacy service's quality assurance activities such as collecting data and tracking risk management indicators. Represents the Chief and Associate Chiefs, Pharmacy Service, in their absence or conflict in schedule, in all matters not of a
  clinical nature and acts on various committees not requiring their personal attention to assure timely and orderly flow of pharmacy activities.

• Collaborates with the Chief of Pharmacy and other service line leaders to design the administrative structure needed to support the implementation of any new program initiatives, and champions the use of innovative quality improvement techniques. This includes all phases of program development; program management; staffing plans; Standard Operating
  Procedures development at other facilities; Credentialing/Privileging, LIP/FPA, OPPE/PPE implications; and coordination of processes, at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center.
• Collaborates with the members of the leadership team in the development of administrative, standard operating procedures and the implementation of operating policy in all phases of management. Monitors and completes all special and recurring administrative reports and correspondence according to VA requirements in a timely manner as assigned by the Chief of Pharmacy.
• Develops internal review systems and takes corrective action to assure that administrative activities follow appropriate standards and applicable regulatory entities.

About the role

The Lab Pack Project Manager’s main function is to administer and monitor all aspects of projects from price quotation and bidding through to job completion.

Project Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred
• Previous Lab Packing Experience Required
• 5 - 7 Years experience in lab packing operations preferred
• 2-4 years supervisory experience required
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.

The Project Manager Main Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine construction schedule, manage the job schedule with vendors and coordinators and conduct final inspection with the store opening team, identifying any deficiencies
• Ensure that all outstanding Landlord or Five Below construction related punch list items are completed to satisfaction at the appropriate time
• Provide cost guidance with respect to any changes to the project
• Review all construction related costs on all projects, identify any potential opportunities for savings and value engineer
• Periodically conduct the RFP process to introduce new vendors in order to capture potential efficiencies and economies
• Provide guidance to store maintenance regarding potential warranty issues with regards to Landlord or Five Below General Contractor work
• Manage remodels for existing stores, coordinating all efforts of legal, design, operations and outside vendors

Job Summary:  Responsible for the critical role of project management and onboarding of new conversions and implementations onto the Newport platform.

• Serves as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors, advisors and internal Newport teams to successfully on-board client plans onto Newport platform.
• Identifies, creates, and executes efficient project timeline and client facing deliverables.
• Works with plan sponsors, internal/external consultants, and prior service providers to successfully convert plan data, assets and liabilities.
• Schedules and leads weekly checkpoint calls with clients and external partners to provide project status update and to discuss open items. Maintains and organizes client-meeting materials such as agenda, minutes and timeline.
• Understands legal plan documents, implementation process and translates client requests into actionable tasks.
• Research and understands client on-boarding process, plan setup and project documentation needs. Works closely with cross-functional support teams to resolve system setup and configuration issues.
• Takes ownership and facilitates resolutions to client questions/issues using the available internal and external resources.
• Prepares client data with use of Excel formulas/tools, including but not limited to: data extracts, data formatting, data manipulation and editing to ensure completeness and accuracy to ensure compliance with contractual requirement and client expectation.
• Prepares the necessary documentations for initial plan set up and provide post implementation assistance by developing accurate and detailed administration manuals outlining processes and procedures related to the project/case.
• Manages multiple case assignments, different clients, changing priorities to manage and prioritize project needs.
• Consistently meets and/or exceeds performance expectations, working under pressure in a very fast paced, demanding environment, continuously under tight deadlines

Required Education, Experience and Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• 5 - 7 years in the retirement plan industry. Knowledge of non-qualified deferred compensation plans a plus, as well as understanding of various retirement plans, market operation, and general retirement plan practices.
• Project Management experience,
• Advanced Excel skills

Preferred (but not required) education or skills for this role

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in related field
• In-depth knowledge of implementation and conversions of retirement plans

They will work with multiple, cross-functional teams to bring projects from planning to adoption. The project manager will have the responsibility to run projects on a day-to-day basis and delegate tasks to individual stakeholders.

The project manager must have considerable expertise to contribute to specialized operating model initiatives. They must also have management experience with project delivery that span across business units, allowing them to work and support a wide variety of areas.

Job Responsibilities:

This position supports delivery against all project and process management phases for assigned projects within Store Operations. This person will work closely with the Project Leader, and cross functional partners to ensure non-technology and technology-based deliverables are in alignment.

Project Planning and Execution:

Lead the end-to-end management of multiple initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and within scope. Manage all tracking and weekly progress reporting for functional leads and senior management team Responsible for the timely and accurate tracking and progress reporting of project status including creation of regular project dashboards and tracking of project cost and resource usage.

Responsible for the creation and management of a detailed project plan for each assigned project.

Responsible for the collection, cataloguing, and maintenance of a variety of project documentation including requirements gathering, risk identification and mitigation, etc.

Monitors compliance and risk with project management and process management standards, policies, procedures, and templates.

Completes tasks within assigned project workstreams.

Manages project budget against plan, giving visibility to overages and underspent funds.

May facilitate and lead process improvement and process management activities.

Team and Stakeholder Management:

Responsible for identification of key stakeholders, communication and change needs and ensures appropriate stakeholder engagement for all levels of the organization throughout the project life cycle.

Provides pro-active advice and counsel to the program leaders and team members on best practice to ensure project success.

Support the development of project level (cross workstream) change management strategies, including training and communication, to build stakeholder awareness of new programs or initiatives that are upcoming and/or underway.

Responsible for understanding roles and responsibilities with all assigned project tasks to make recommendations and assignments.

Escalate risks and facilitates project teams in problem resolution, such as deviation from project plans.

Instills a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and productivity. Seeks opportunities to improve process and may facilitate process improvement projects.

Construct meeting updates and presentations, communicating topics in a simple, structured way, to keep teams informed and able to clearly make decisions.

Leads workstream meetings, updates to steering committees, Executive Leadership, etc.

Qualifications:

4-year or advanced degree in a relevant field.

Minimum of 5+ years of practical experience, including project management, consulting roles, store operations or other applicable retail industry experience. with a proven record of success within project and / or program management.

Progressive project management responsibilities: ability to complete both strategic and hands on tactical deliverables including time management, planning, and budgeting.

Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple large scale or complex projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost.

Strong analytical, problem-solving skills; ability to break down problems into fundamental parts, identify root causes, synthesize findings, and make informed decisions.

Excellent written, verbal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills required, including proficient skills in PowerPoint presentation creation.

Relationship oriented, strong influencing and interpersonal skills; able to modify communication style to meet the needs of stakeholders.

 Highly accountable, possess a “can-do” attitude and a strong, results orientation.

Thrives in a collaborative environment; flexible and open to ideas coming from all areas and levels of the organization, but also confident and decisive.

Ability to prioritize and multitask.
