What you'll be doing

The Senior Analyst will support the Director of Treasury Data Management to ensure the integrity of captured data in Treasury owned applications. The support will ensure that systems are executed on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. The role is responsible to ensure seamless end-to-end production as it relates to reporting, reconciliation and load statistics.

Additionally, the incumbent will conduct quality testing to identify improvement opportunities and system issues, and will suggest changes / improvements accordingly. To do this optimally you will:

• Support the operation of the Strategic Investment Committee (SIC), which comprises of the CEO, CSIDO, CFO, CTO and CRO
• Support in facilitating the prioritisation of enterprise-wise strategic investments based on organisational priorities, emerging opportunities and execution challenges
• Rollout and ongoing management of the enterprise-wide benefits management framework
• Review business cases and be a collaborative challenger to ensure high-quality cases for discussion by SIC
• Liaise with projects to mentor in respect of SIC process, funding, benefits and key measures as they relate to the strategic plan
• Work with Executives, Program Sponsors and Project Managers to ensure benefits outlined in the cases are strategically aligned, measurable and assessable
• Develop the consolidated view of strategic investment costs, benefits, critical metrics and project outcomes for the senior leadership
• Collaborate across the organisation to challenge and influence a wide range of partners
• Work optimally with the senior executives from Group Office (Hong Kong).

Successful applications will demonstrate:

Provides consulting services and technology expertise specific to North American Commercial Banking (NACB) deposit product initiatives. Support Senior Technology Officer in managing projects end-to-end within the technology space within the NACB Deposit portfolio, including completing technology intakes and vendor engagement. Liaises with stakeholders to understand problems and opportunities, to facilitate the organization's goals by understanding business vision, objectives, and key performance indicators. Aligns technology requirements and solutions to a real business need, meets essential quality standards, and ensures approval by all relevant stakeholders. Acts as a consultant/project lead to business partners in collaboration with the team in strategy and planning sessions (e.g. multi-year and annual plans), reviews, or inspections to ensure the quality of work products. Promotes new processes and methodologies, emerging technologies, and aligns to the unique project team requirements. Well versed with the PMLC from inception to post-implementation phase, manages overall project budget forecasting/actuals and risk; tracks projects using the BMO tools and adheres to documentation/artifacts standards.

Qualifications:

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Business Analysis and/or Project Manager Accreditation is an asset.

• Knowledge of software development practice, concepts/methodologies (i.e. waterfall, Agile, iterative), and technologies obtained through formal training and/or work experience.

• Knowledge of one or more requirements analysis and problem decomposition techniques.

• Knowledge of technical/business environment (e.g. Microsoft business technologies and applications, relational databases, and SharePoint).

• Understanding of industry standards and standard business capabilities.

• Knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project lifecycle.

• Possesses a deep understanding and problem solving ability of Information Technology of various complexities.

• Understanding of techniques associated with data modeling, process modeling, and user-centered design within the context of the organizational standards.

• Familiar with business strategy and assessments (i.e. feasibility studies, business cases and/or cost/benefit, project sizing and costing, and current state analysis/needs assessments).

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
