My public sector client is looking for a Business Support Assistant to provide first line support for the organisations stakeholders. This is currently a five month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension beyond. What is the job role?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Public Health team supporting the development and ongoing sustainability of strategic partnerships that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of Coventry residents.

Working with the Population Health Policy Officer and Domestic Abuse Programme Manager the post will:

• Support the development of the Health and Wellbeing Board and relevant Scrutiny Boards
• Coordinate partnership work between a range of statutory and voluntary agencies to act on findings from Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews (DARDR’s) and Child Death Overview Panels (CDOP)
• Provide co-ordination and administrative support for Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews (DARDR) ensuring that the reviews are completed in line with legislation, statutory guidance, local guidance and best practise
• Be a key point of contact for independent DARDR Chairs and external agencies ensuring the process is delivered effectively
• Manage MS Teams and Sharepoint systems that support these workstreams
• Provide a single point of access for the CDOP team. The CDOP team sit within the ICB and require Coventry City Council to participate in child death reviews, child death panels and Sudden Death Joint Agency Responses. The post holder will be a key contact for the board in ensuring a timely and appropriate response from within the Council so that statutory duties are met.

• You’ll have significant experience in project support and admin duties including organising meetings, taking minutes, capturing actions, lessons learnt and good practice.
• You will have experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.
• You will have experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and voluntary sector partners, along with the ability to manage multiple demands, work methodically and achieve targets / deadlines

What is the job role?

We are looking for a Project Assistant to work as part of the Coventry HDRC.

The important role will support the Coventry HDRC team in organisation, coordination and administration of key functions of HDRC. The role will ensure the smooth running of the require working with people from a range of organisations including universities, hospitals as well as statutory and voluntary agencies.

There is opportunity to help develop new processes such as the management and advice to research projects.

It is a 2-year fixed term contract/secondment with possible extension.

Who are we looking for?

• You’ll have significant experience in project support and admin duties.
• Experience in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.
• You’ll be skilled at prioritising work, managing time and working autonomously under pressure to deliver to deadlines.
• You’ll be creative, proactive, and have experience in problem-solving and quick decision-making, whilst dealing with competing priorities.
• You will enjoy helping develop and learn new project and administrative processes to help the programme and service run smoothly.
• Excellent skills with Microsoft Word Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
• Someone keen to develop and learn new knowledge and skills in a supportive team environment.

We are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant with AAT Level 3 ideally to join a well established food production company based in Hereford with flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.

This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm offering a salary of £30-35k per annum plus benefits.

As Assistant Management Accountant you will report into the Site Accountant ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the finance function and accurate tiely weekly and monthly management reporting. The role will involve the following:

- Lead the preparation and completion of weekly financial results (supported by Site Accountant), presenting results with commentary to the General Manager and Finance Business Partner.
- Support in preparation of the period end close for the Milling Operations (including External Mills)
- Operational Monthly packs reporting financial and operational results explaining variances to budget and forecast.
- Work with the Managers to understand cost base trends and realistic target objectives
- Support the Mills teams in ensuring good financial control is maintained over stocks, aligning all three sites weekly stock variance reporting
- To not just produce numbers but offer support/guidance in ways to improve performance
- Oversee the collation of Milling Financial KPIS
- Work closely with the Administration Manager to ensure timely weekly close offs of transactions


We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant role or similar
- AAT Qualified (or equivalent) or Part Qualified Studier CIMA / ACCA
- Solid Management Accounting knowledge
- Comfortable working with multiple IT systems
- Good Excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables and data analysis.
- Knowledge of Oracle or Mtech desirable
- Management Accounting experience gained within the food or Agricultural industry advantageous
