A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

Project Support and Coordination

• Assist in planning and coordinating trade shows, events, activations, and video/photo shoots, ensuring tasks align with business objectives.
• Help with logistical coordination and execution by supporting teams, vendors, and international partners.

Process Support

• Collaborate in streamlining processes for better teamwork across departments and countries.
• Update shared task management tools (e.g., Notion) for the marketing team.
• Maintain the group marketing calendar and ensure that shared documents and tools are updated and accessible for stakeholders.

Vendor Coordination (Merchandising/Events)

• Support in sourcing and communicating with vendors for merchandising and event materials.
• Assist in procurement, inventory management, and ensuring timely delivery of event supplies in line with brand standards.

Campaign Assistance

• Help track and manage marketing campaigns, ensuring they meet group-level business goals.
• Assist with data collection and reporting for campaigns to monitor progress.

Operational Support

• Provide support for operational needs like logistics, merchandise management, and procurement.
• Assist in tracking marketing spend and conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional marketing teams (Demand Generation, Customer Experience, Content Marketing, Brand & Creative, PR & Comms) to ensure alignment and timely task delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments such as legal, procurement, finance, and customer care on operational processes.

• Learn from cross-disciplinary engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to understand how Flex makes great products
• Analyze large data sets to drive insight generation
• Build user-friendly dashboards and application interfaces for seamless data interaction

• Investigate emerging technologies to evaluate their relevance and impact on product designs and manufacturing methodologies.

Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, the student will be focused on advanced strategic planning and system tools by working with the material and planning teams to ensure on-time and efficient delivery of final product to the Flex site.

What a typical day looks like:

• Create daily production schedules and ensure that deadlines are met
• Ensure efficiency in scheduling with CTB (Clear to Build) utilization
• Liaise between the Material Account Manager and Program Teams on demand management
• Work closely with production personnel on accountabilities and productivity issues
• Ensure smooth transaction of manufacturing process to raw materials
• Develop strategies and liaise with operational teams on capacity & equipment utilization
• Work closely with operations to ensure smooth flow from raw material to final goods stage
• Use knowledge and experience of process flow to provide a useful resource to Materials on ERP and business system issues
• Provide training to staff members as required
