The Role:

The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint a dynamic, forward-looking candidate with successful 11-18 teaching experience to the post of Leader of Learning of Computing & Business. This is a superb opportunity for an excellent teacher with some leadership experience to progress their career and lead on the development of teaching of the range of subjects within this area in a good school that is striving towards excellence. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Computing and/or Business lessons to students in Years 7-13, adhering to the national curriculum and exam specifications.
• Evaluate the standards of the teaching across the Area of Learning and ensure an improvement in academic outcomes.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress across the area and ensure steps are in place to drive improvement.
• Ensure that the curriculum is fit for purpose, including developing it for future changes in the courses available.
• Maintain and improve leadership and teaching within the area, including the line management of staff.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community through extracurricular activities or pastoral support.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Strong subject knowledge of Computer Science and/or Business, with the ability to teach up to A Level.
• Leadership experience that can demonstrate a positive impact on learning and achievement.
• A passion for teaching and leadership, with a commitment to student progress and achievement.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally including experience of line managing staff.
• An understanding and appreciation of the school’s Christian ethos and values.

The Computing & Business team are dynamic and reflective. We teach KS3 Computing and at KS4 we currently offer GCSE Computer Science, BTEC DIT, Cambridge National iMedia, GCSE Business Studies, BTEC Enterprise, BTEC Travel & Tourism and BTEC WorkSkills. At KS5 we currently offer A Level Computer Science, A Level Economics, A Level Business Studies, and BTEC L3 Business Studies. Outcomes have been consistently good without being outstanding.

The school is at an exciting phase in its development. It has been identified by the DFE for a partial rebuild with plans at an advanced stage. The school has also decided to adopt iPad technology in preparation for movement into new facilities and the leadership of this transition will be a part of all curriculum leaders remit moving forwards. The department is housed in a dedicated suite of classrooms, each with an interactive screen, each student has their own iPad, plus some rooms have 30 desktop computers. The faculty works in a collaborative and supportive way allowing all staff to develop and students to flourish.

The School Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative, financial, and premises functions of the school with direct supervision from the federation's Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking a Business Support Officer who demonstrates sound HR and Finance knowledge, whilst at the same time being proactive, pragmatic, proficient and enthusiastic. They must be person and pupil centred, self-motivated individual, equipped with knowledge and understanding of HR and Finance processing or responsibility in a similar background. They must have a desire to develop individual attributes, ability to investigate, problem solve and has the qualities to support the growing future of our excellent provision.

Phoenix is a well-established Outstanding (Ofsted Nov 2024) special school for students with severe language and communication difficulties including autism. The School offers a unique service to the children of Tower Hamlets. The school has a multi-ethnic population, which reflects the diversity of the borough. Phoenix has two sites, Phoenix School and Phoenix Upper School. The two sites cover the age range 3-12 and 12-19 respectively. In January 2021 Upper School site was completed and offers students a wonderful learning environment, which is reflected in the curriculum.

Main Purpose of the Role:

The School Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative, financial, and premises functions of the school with direct supervision from the federation's Senior Leadership Team.
