We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our friendly, award-winning team as Project and Commercial Manager.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Project and Commercial Manager will be to ensure the best possible environments are delivered for the residents who form the community of the Avery Healthcare Group. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of major refurbishment projects through feasibility, tender, planning and execution of the works.
Other responsibilities include:
- Procurement and management of Avery Healthcare Group’s major refurbishments in the south.
- Working with the consultants in the preparation of Cost Plans, development budgets and the Employer’s Requirements documents.
- Ensuring Health & Safety is planned, considered and executed in accordance with best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Planning and phasing the works with consideration in minimising disruption to the communities and communicating this to the communities and colleagues. The provision of programmes and phasing plans to demonstrate how the works will be executed will be essential.

Our ideal candidate must:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within refurbishment and construction. Experience in working in live environments would be an advantage.
- A minimum of HNC in Building Studies, Project Management, or similar discipline along with professional membership with the CIOB or RICS.
- Appropriate health and safety experience to ensure the Client’s duties under CDM are met and discharged and ensuring Health & Safety is planned, considered and executed in accordance with best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Commercial and financial knowledge, awareness and experience is essential. The individual must be commercially aware with good negotiating skills and be capable of achieving and demonstrating best value outcomes.
