Project Manager
KBR is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to support the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) within the US Navy at our Lexington Park, MD office site. In this role, you will use Defense Acquisition, DOD 5000 series, & Navy Acquisition experience to assist with contract efforts and serve as the manager of our engineering and installation support team.
In this Role, You Will...
- Serve as an interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on the contract's technical, schedule, and cost aspects of designated projects.
- Oversee contractor personnel program/project operations
- Report progress to the Senior Program Manager
- Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning, execution, and closeout of all contract and subcontract support activities
- Serve as support to the Senior Program Manager for the Alteration Installation Team (AIT)
Requirements
Clearance: Active/Current Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain.
Demonstrated knowledge in:
- Sub-contractor Management
- Understanding of the process and procedures of Naval Shipyards
- NAVSEA Standard Items
- NAVSEA TS9090-310H (Alterations to Ships Accomplished By Alteration Installation Teams)
- Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs)
- Statements of Work (SOW)
- Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Process
Required education & years of experience (+substitution options below)
Education: BS or BA degree in a Business, Management, or Relevant Technical Discipline.
Experience: Six (6) years of professional experience in Defense Acquisition that includes...
- Three (3) years of experience in support of Navy Acquisition management.
- Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
OR
Education: AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS
Experience: Ten (10) years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition that includes...
- Seven (7) years of experience in support of Navy Acquisition management
- Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort, such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
OR
Education: High School diploma or GED; Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description.
Experience: At least fourteen (14) years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition to include...
- Eleven (11) years of experience in support of Navy Acquisition management.
- Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.
