Site Security Officer – West (Site Security Manager)Permanent, Full time Monday

Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Site Security Officer to join their Skynet contract in Corsham, Wiltshire.
As the Site Security Officer West, you will support the Contract Security Manager to achieve all contractual compliance activities and provide day-today management of the West security team in accordance Serco policies and standards.
You will act as the site focal point for Security related issues and be responsible for investigating, the response and reporting of site security or contractual issues.
Main Accountabilities:
- The provision of security services for the Skynet Site under your control.
- Provide input into the development of security processes & procedures.
- Assist with business continuity, exercises, and provide feedback on the outcome.
- Oversite of the site document registries, including document control, dispatch, and destructions; provide training and assistance were necessary.
- Carry out combination changes in line with JSP’s.
- Ensure departments reports are completed at all levels and provide contractual information to the Security Manager.
- Ensure the physical security measures in place are free from defect, faults are to be reported immediately.
- Ensure site security upgrades & maintenance are carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and staff are given any necessary training.
- Give on-site security inductions/briefings & advice.
- Work in close liaison with the customer in support of MOD operations.
- Assisting in the formalisation and adherence of the customers security policies.
- Site Access Control & CCTV, ensure the appropriate controls measure are in place.
- In liaison with the contract Vetting & Access Administrator, provide support and act as the on-site point of contact in their absence.
- Management of your team in line with the Security Industry Authority SIA Approved Contractor Scheme.
- The production of risk assessments, HSE reporting and conducting workplace inspections
- At site level, liaise with Local Security Services (Civilian Police, MOD Police & CTSA) to ensure appropriate emergency response procedures are in place.
- Ensure employees complete initial and monthly training in compliance with current security, company, and customer requirements.
- Ensure your team have the appropriate resources required to carry out their duties.
- Effective management of the Serco Absence Management Policy.
- Manage staff performance in accordance with individual and team objectives.
- Any other duties as detailed by the Security manager
What you’ll need to do the role:
- An understanding of GovS 007 & MOD JSP’s or similar experience.
- Experienced manager or a senior supervisor.
- DISA Security Controller Certificate (or willing to achieve).
- DISA Security Vetting Procedures Certificate (or willing to achieve).
- Must hold a valid front-line SIA licence (or willing to achieve).
- Must be able to achieve a Security Clearance.
Additional requirements:
- Previous experience within a large secure environment.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- A proven track record in leading a team.
- Excellent oral, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy, conversant with the Office 365 software suite.
- UK Driving License.
