• The ability to work both using your own initiative and working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Updating and maintaining the in-house database.

What you'll need to succeed

• Commercial property experience is desirable but not essential.
• Organised, resilient and hard-working.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Packages and in-house systems.
• Previous experience with administration is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn about all Council functions and work with colleagues in all service areas. We are looking for 2 administrative legal assistants. The successful candidates will assist three areas namely Information Management, Licensing and the People and Court Group within the Legal and Licensing Structure. The posts will enable these three areas to continue to provide an effective operational delivery of high focussed services to Council Departments, the Corporate Client, Elected Members and the Public. The posts will suit candidates with a particular interest in Information Management, Licensing and Legal Work.

Essential

Good standard of education, with a minimum of 3 Standard Grades or equivalent (General Level 3 or above) including English or substantial relevant experience

Your new role
As a Legal Cashier (Accounts Assistant), you will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks including daily banking functions, preparing online electronic bank transfers, and performing bank reconciliations for both client and business accounts. You will also handle client ledger reconciliations, administration of petty cash, and processing of client and office accounting transactions. Additionally, you will address internal and external accounts queries, ensuring smooth financial operations. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a Legal Cashier, or have experience of working as an Accounts Assistant and possess excellent numeracy skills. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines are crucial. Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), is essential. You should be able to work well as part of a team, providing cover where necessary.

Key Role:

Performs a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of firm and government sensitive and classified information. Applies specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience with managing security requirements for sensitive security programs, including DoD SCI programs

• Knowledge of Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations (32 CFR), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD), and DoD security requirements
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
