1. • Establishes procedures and policies, estimates, and substantiates budget, as well as procurement data, explaining effect of new programs related to networking services in terms of functionality; creates and updates detailed network diagrams; and presents new ways IT investments can contribute to the mission/business strategy and assist the ATR in providing baseline services.
• Advises staff and senior managers on proposed standard DOJ technical architectures, setting information standards, and setting standards for software design and development, software and hardware configuration management, IT acquisition management, and testing and operation evaluation of IT network programs, applications, equipment, and telecommunications networks.
• Leads programs, task forces, and project teams in accomplishing advanced IT systems, software, and hardware project efforts, and functions as an expert technical authority on network services and functions.
• Provides expert technical advice, guidance, and assistance to management officials and other technical and program staff in planning, designing, developing, testing, installing, and maintaining network systems used in the transmission of information via data, video, or voice.
• Prepares and presents information and briefings on critical, complex, or controversial network issues and problems to senior level management officials and program staff.
