As an Electrical Network Engineer you'll be responsible in the field for guaranteeing that emergency and fault work is completed efficiently & effectively. This includes operational standby duties on a 1 in 7 rota. Standby retainers and overtime are in addition to the annual salary.

Job Overview

To supervise the day to day planning and allocation of the technical maintenance resource within their respective Region

To supervise the Planned Maintenance Programme for their respective sites, and deliver an excellent reactive service to the property portfolio ensuring compliance with all SLA's & KPI's

To supervise and deliver small replacements projects and update Asset Registers when equipment is replaced as part of Life Cycle or Small Works Programme

Training the team as required including delivering Tool box talks and team briefs

Checking paperwork and service standards completed by the team ensuring sites remain compliant

Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Engineering Manager

Take responsibility for your own and your teams training needs and bring them to the attention of the Engineering Manager

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health & Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice

Main Duties

-Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to

-Ensure compliance with the MITIE Maintenance Quality Management System as it applies to this position

-Assist the Engineering Manager in ensuring that all Statutory and Legislative requirements are achieved/adhered to for the sites

-Ensure clients operational procedures are adhered to at all times

-Obtain appropriate authorisation for access into restricted areas from the client's representative as and when required

-Ensure compliance with MITIE and Client confidentiality policies

-To provide technical support to the site Facilities Manager as and when required

-Assist engineers to compile estimates for minor additional works and submit through small works/remedial teams

-Conduct yourself in a professional manner in support of our customers and work colleagues

-Be available to provide remote support outside normal hours

-Manage a team of engineers and take responsibility of HR requirements including managing absences and grievances.

What we are looking for

-Either BS7671 Electrical Regulations, Gas ACOPs or F-Gas qualified

-Ideally served a recognised trade training scheme

-Essential people management skills/experience managing a small team

-IOSH Working safely

-Customer care/relationship building skills

-Able to work as a member of a team

-Able to work without direct supervision

-Able to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company

Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a leading Housing Contractor in the Kent area who are looking for a brand new Retrofit Technical Manager to join their team covering their retrofit works nationwide. There are various offices in London and the Midlands that you can be based from.

They are looking for an experienced Retrofit Technical Manager who has previous experience working on Social Housing Major Retrofit Works.

Duties:

• Provision of technical advice and support on low carbon and energy efficiency services to internal and external clients
• Collaboration across the teams in the business, implement innovative projects and build a strong network within the decarbonisation / energy efficiency sector
• Maintaining up to date knowledge with regulatory, political, economic and social sustainability challenges that are faced by our industry, in particular the changing landscape in relation to government targets and funding opportunities.
• Manage / oversee the technical works delivered by the Decarbonisation Team
• Responsibility for overseeing the successful delivery of technical services by the Decarbonisation Team.
• Make decisions on specific projects / activities to ensure successful completion.
• Develop and implement relevant programmes to ensure projects / activities are completed on time.
• Day to day supervision of members of the Decarbonisation Team and the delivery of their activities.
• Regular reporting to the Business Improvement & Decarbonisation on the performance of a specific project / activity.
• Assist the Business Improvement & Decarbonisation Director in the formulation of team strategies and new services.
• Make recommendations and implement agreed changes to work practices in particular the Decarbonisation Team technical services.

Key Knowledge:

• Hold or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management
• Hold or working towards Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment
• Previous social housing experience desirable.
