The Associate Director Education supports the Deputy Director and the Senior Consultant for Operations in overseeing SPP Education and is responsible for coordinating and supporting VHA's National Strategy for Preventing Veteran Suicide and develops national suicide prevention training and education as well as recommends policy, programming and planning actions, and strategic guidance for suicide prevention for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The incumbent is responsible for the advancement of the translation of new suicide prevention initiatives into educational resources across the VA system and works closely with the Rocky Mountain MIRECC and VISN 2 CoE for Suicide Prevention in the translation process. The Associate Director Education is responsible for ensuring national rollout of initiatives are in alignment with implementation science principles and include interface with a wide range of clinical and administrative offices within VHA. These initiatives embody the mission to make "suicide prevention everyone's business" by co-leading the integration of suicide prevention into the broad VHA health care continuum.

The Associate Director Education will provide primary leadership to the Education team within the SPP office, leading the national suicide prevention education and training program as well as development of a policy and legislative agenda. The work directed is, administrative, technical, and complex. The incumbent adheres to local and national VA policies, often consulting with peers on professional and technical matters. The incumbent assists the Senior Consultant of Operations with complex reviews of effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of suicide prevention office efforts and develops detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of the program, which has wide ranging impact on other VA and national level programming.

The position is located in the Information, Technology & Data Division (ITDD); Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Responsible for advanced systems projects and serves as a technical authority on the deployment and implementation of software applications and hardware upgrades developed by ITDD

Coordinates with the ITDD branches during the testing stages of application development to ensure that employees are trained in all aspects of the software and to begin developing implementation procedures, and to ensure deployment procedures address issues relating to network administration.

The Deputy Chief Data officer is responsible to assist the CDO in overseeing the implementation of the Board's data strategy in the areas of data management, data governance, innovative data capabilities development, and legal and regulatory compliance in support of the Board's missions and strategy. The Deputy CDO is also responsible for leading the internal operations of the OCDO, facilitating data-driven decision-making, and ensuring that the data needs of the Board are met. The deputy CDO is expected to be abreast of latest industry trends and developments related to data, build close partnership with data practitioner communities in the Federal Reserve System and other federal financial regulatory agencies, and be willing to perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the CDO, assists the CDO to oversee the Board's Data Program. In conjunction with the Board Data Council and the OCDO leadership team, is responsible for developing the strategic roadmap, priorities, and specific work activities of the OCDO.

• Serve as a central point of contact for all regulated entities on fintech related risks, and emerging financial technology matters and lead the OFT team activities for banks and fintech firms to interact with the OCC regarding those areas outside of the OCC direct supervision capacity.

1. Program Planning and Leadership. The Director, Center for Disruptive Technology and Future Warfare (CDTFW), reports to the INSS Director. He/she leads and manages CDTFW research, operations, budget, and personnel. The incumbent assures that CDTFW's research is methodologically rigorous, cutting-edge, and impactful. He/she develops and manages research and academic initiatives related to disruptive technology and future warfare and helps to effectively disseminate publications and research products to relevant DoD and U.S. government stakeholders to ensure the strongest reach and impact. The incumbent leads, manages, and coordinates across the NDU academic and research enterprise, as well as with DoD and interagency stakeholder organizations. He/she creates and maintains working relationships with Department of Defense stakeholders, as well as relevant think tank, academic, and private sector actors.

The incumbent's focus and responsibilities in leading and managing a center that produces cutting-edge impactful research on disruptive technology and the implications for defense and national security policy and strategy include the following:

This position is located in Washington, DC and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross functional product developments team to deliver innovative products to our customers, while also acting as a player/coach.  
• Architecting, building, testing, and deploying scalable, reusable, and maintainable applications that handle large amounts of data. 
• Taking full ownership of your work, from development and testing to eventual deployment and support in production. 
• Collaborating with other engineering teams, product owners, designers, and leadership. 
• Becoming a trusted team member in matters of technical architecture, design, and code. 
• Advocating for evolution and improvement - both technical and non-technical - within our teams.  Includes new tech, tools, and best practices. 
• Gaining a deep understanding of the CoStar business. 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.  
• A track record of commitment to prior employers 
• Minimum 8+ years of professional software development experience building large distributed, API-driven systems and leading agile teams.  
• 5+ years served in a leadership rol
• Significant full-stack experience, with deep expertise in back-end technologies (C#, .NET Framework, Web API, Node, Data storage, SQL, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers, and senior management) 
• Excellent team building, negotiation and consensus building abilities. 
• Ability to motivate and build high performance software development teams. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Real world experience designing and implementing complex application architectures on Amazon Web Services. 
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Mocha, and Chai. 
• Expertise building common/shared JavaScript module packages. 
• Expertise with Analytics presentation tools like D3 and/or Google Maps API. 
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration. 
• Commercial Real Estate (CRE) or Residential Real Estate knowledge is a bonus.
