I am assisting a large manufacturing client of mine with the process of securing a Head of Health & Safety in their Glasgow operation.

Role purpose:
As a member of the group's Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Health & Safety is responsible for devising, implementing and leading the company's Health & Safety strategy, driving a culture where Health & Safety is front of mind with everyone (employees, contractors and visitors) every day, and in which everyone feels responsible, capable, and empowered to take action to protect their own Health & Safety as well that of their work colleagues.
Leading a team of three Health & Safety advisors, as well as Health & Safety committees across their sites in Scotland, the role is very hands-on but equally strategic in the development and implementation of initiatives for the continual development of their Health & Safety culture and performance across the site.


Key accountabilities:
* Ensure that the business operates in compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, through the development, refinement, and management of its safety management system, policies, and procedures, that ensure the Health & Safety of all group employees, contractors, and visitors.
* In collaboration with peers in the Senior Leadership Team, develop a culture across all locations of the business, and across all levels of the business, where Health & Safety is front of mind with everyone (employees, contractors, and visitors) every day, in which everyone feels responsible, capable, and empowered to take action to protect their own Health & Safety as well that of their work colleagues.
* Use all available communication channels to promote this culture.
* Identify and address capability and knowledge gaps, within the Head of Health & Safety's direct team as well as directors, managers, team leaders and supervisors across the business, to enable the whole business to feel responsible, empowered, and capable in driving improvements to protect their own Health & Safety as well as that of their work colleagues.
* Take forward and further develop the effectiveness of existing quarterly Health & Safety Committee meetings across the business.


* Take forward Health & Safety continuous improvement actions resulting from the Health & Safety 360 evaluation and roadmap and further develop same and better on an annual basis.
* Refine existing Health & Safety metrics, to measure and drive continuous improvement, and report on these monthly to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and the board.
* Evaluate all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop and implement actions to mitigate the risk of their re-occurrence or their escalation into more serious incidents and accidents.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

* Chartered ISOH
* Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ Level 5 Diploma level, with evidence of CPD (through IOSH) achievement as well as proven experience of working with and improving management systems.
* Experience of ISO 45001 with auditing experience.
* 5+ years of experience in similar roles with demonstrable success in leading a Health & Safety cultural transformation in a multi-location manufacturing business.
* Demonstrable success in previous senior Health & Safety roles, in driving positive changes in Health & Safety culture, capability, empowerment, accountability, and practices.

The Program Specialist - Health Science Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of Radiology Service program operations at the Cleveland VA Medical Center and Parma CBOC facilities.
• Coordinate programs and services extending to all Medical Center Clinical Services, encompassing Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Radiation Oncology, Dental, Dermatology, Nuclear Medicine, Tele-Health Services, CBOCs, outpatient clinics (including Eye Clinic and Vascular Surgery), and inpatient radiologic support, among others.
• Coordinate and support VISN level programs for data center image archiving.
• Support and evaluate current Medicom Image Exchange, various site-to-site connections between community partners, connectivity between tele-radiology providers, and future image exchange capabilities with Cerner implementation.
• Play a pivotal role in overseeing tele-radiology operations of contracted providers, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective integration with the national teleradiology program.

• Work in conjunction with the VISN 10 Chief Healthcare Technology Manager on matters pertaining to PACS and VR technology management, program operations, and effective delivery of services.

Delivering and supporting the Building Safety Managers and Assistant Building Safety Managers with the initial information gathering for creation of the Building Safety Case Reports.

The Technical Coordinator will ensure any queries and actions arising from other teams, building inspections, the Building Safety Case Report process are raised and tracked appropriately and concluded in a timely manner. Ensuring H&S, regulatory & governance compliance for areas under the job holder’s control are actioned. You will also support the team in various areas of compliance, as well as assisting in ad-hoc projects and occasional review meetings. Participate in developing policies and procedures on building safety related works.

The Technical Coordinator will contribute to the identification of risks as part of overall risks highlighted in building safety inspections and building safety case reports. You will support the Building Safety Managers and Assistant Building Safety Managers in managing these risks and raising actions in accordance with the risk rating.

You will need to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:

-Strong administrative experiences, gained in fast paced working environments
-Basic knowledge of the Building Safety, building compliance and property/facilities management
-Good communication skills, able to work collaboratively within a team interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
-Organisational and planning skills
-Ability to work at a consistent pace
-Competent use of MS Office and able to use simple business systems, e.g. accounting systems, office applications (you will be given full training)

Join our team as a Technical Supervisor, overseeing day-to-day operations in vessel repairs. This pivotal role requires boarding vessels to lead repairs in hulls, pipes, hydraulics, and mechanics. You'll excel in preparing quotations aligned with customer needs, backed by extensive knowledge in vessel repair scopes. Flexibility is crucial, as this role involves short-notice travel to shipyards to lead critical projects and potentially longer stays onboard vessels while managing such projects effectively. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Technical Supervisor to manage day to day operations related to vessel repairs

· Board vessels to lead miscellaneous repairs related to hull, pipes, hydraulics and mechanical repairs.

· Prepare quotations based on customer requirements and must have indepth knowledge on vessel repair scopes.

· Co ordinate between clients and various operations teams for jobs for arrangements and executing repair jobs.

· Sound knowledge on welding related to pipes and plate drawings.

· Able to travel at short notice to shipyards to co ordinate and lead critical projects and onboard vessels.

· Able to stay onboard vessels for a longer period while managing critical projects.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Main Requirements:

· A strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, and structural engineering, particularly in the maritime industry, is essential

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a commitment to delivering results and driving continuous improvement

· Prior experience in managing and executing vessel repair projects is crucial. This includes a deep understanding of various repair techniques and procedures related to hulls, pipes, hydraulics, and mechanical systems

· Experience in Welding and Machining processes

· Have experience OR understand the procedures for welding jobs for structural works as per the standards, Step by step inspection welding jobs

· Familiarized in BWTS pipe installation on board vessels
