• close collaboration with the IT Business Analyst to shape our product according to the business requirements and UBS standards while you take the lead to drive the software in a performant and high quality direction
• analyzing business requirements to find the most suitable solution
• designing, planning and delivering sustainable solutions using Java and other modern programming languages
• providing technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing solutions
• conducting code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design

Your team

You’ll be joining the Document Creation and Distribution Crew in Singapore(Stream - Client Documents and Records Management). As part of the CDRM stream our vision is to persue a clear digital first strategy while providing high quality and timely output services. Your Pod will be "Document Postprocessing & Dispatch" which is responsible for key functionalities of document preparation for downstream receivers.

We provide an agile working environment with training and exposure to a wide range of the latest technology and development tools. As a Java Software Engineer, you’ll play an important role in ensuring UBS remains compliant to all legal and regulatory requirements.

You will work on Next Generation global solution for DCD Stream which provides Output Management Services in UBS Wealth Management.

Your expertise

• expertise in backend technologies such as Java 11+,Spring Framework ,Boot
• ability to design and implement web services APIs using REST , SOAP , SSE ,WebSocket , schema first specification, integration, and security
• good understanding and solid experience in database technologies: SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres)
• having knowledge in NoSQL database is an added advantage
• experience in frontend technology stack .React is added advantage
• understanding of architecture - microservices, event driven, layered, monolithic, design patterns, etc.
• ability to propose, design and document a solution and take ownership
• experience with cloud native solutions and cloud services integration is a plus
• sound DevOps knowledge - IaC, CI/CD , Maven, Gradle, Kubernetes. Experience in Ansible, GitLab, Azure would be a plus
