Working within the Engineering support Team and reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, the Software/Controls Engineer (SCE) is responsible for designing, installing, managing and/or maintaining equipment and software on PLC and SCADA systems, which are used to monitor and control the plant systems at Royston. Our client is a trusted UK Ministry of Defence partner seeking a highly skilled C/C++ Software Engineer. This individual will work as part of a team that integrates authentic products, models, and synthetic environments. In addition, the engineer will offer visualisations, demonstrations, verification & validation, training capability and support in an FT work frame onsite. This position provides an opportunity for contract extension or permanent employment.

WSSE is a critical player in developing weapon systems and system architectures. The C/C++ Software Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to the full product life cycle, which is a capability that WSSE has successfully developed and implemented.

What we're looking for:

• Previous software engineering experience in developing test solutions, including knowledge and experience of NI TestStand.
• Strong ability to write software in C/C++, with experience in C# and scripting languages being advantageous.
• Proactive and able to take ownership of software development.
• Excellent communication skills and strong motivation for collaboration.
• Previous experience working in an agile development team.
• Strong understanding of creating high-quality software and supporting quality practices.
• Knowledge of electronics measurement and debug techniques, using equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Understanding of communications and serial interfaces like RS422, RS485, Modbus, CAN, and 1553.

Guidant Global seeks a skilled Systems Modelling Engineer to create models of the seeker RF Radar. The candidate will develop the model, produce auto-code, generate seeker performance predictions, and integrate the seeker model with the missile dynamic reference model. It's a contingent work opportunity that may lead to a permanent position. The work will be hybrid, with 60% on-site presence required.

What you'll get to do as a Systems Modelling Engineer:

• Utilise model-based design techniques to perform modelling in MATLAB and Simulink.
• Responsible for modelling parts of a complex seeker system, including the target scenario, seeker hardware, and processor algorithms.
• Developing and implementing algorithms within the model.
• Producing and verifying auto-code for the software algorithms from the model
• Carrying out seeker performance assessment
• Create a simplified model for the missile.
• Optionally updating the legacy Seeker model in Statemate.
• Documenting the model changes and creating test vectors
