The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Ranbuild business in our team as Customer Service Representative (Technical), located at our Hamilton Hub in Newcastle. Ranbuild is a market leader in the pre-engineered building market and has been supplying sheds, garages, and steel buildings for over 70 years, specialising in the commercial, residential, rural and equine markets. In this role, you’ll utilise your technical aptitude to learn to interpret plans and drawings, quickly developing your skill set across our range of products. Of course, we don’t expect you to know everything from day 1, you’ll have the support of a strong professional network at your fingertips who are invested in seeing you achieve. Your success will grow from estimating and providing specialist advice to customers and fabricators, as we grow our business now and into the future.

What Will You Do?
In this exciting customer-facing opportunity, you will play a key role both in supporting our Home Improvement and Shed market segment with estimations, while also supporting our customer service team.
- providing personalised assistance to customers, handling inquiries and quotes via phone and email
- partner closely with internal stakeholders including sales, commercial, and technical teams to exceed customer expectations
- follow up customer quotes, deliveries and product supplies for the team
- nurturing leads by following up on quotations and inquiries, converting them into rewarding sales opportunities
More About You
Working with a friendly and inclusive team, you’ll be collaborative, having a passion for continuous learning. In addition, you will bring:
- experience or exposure to technical drawings, drafting, building estimating, or a keen interest and willingness to learn
- exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- the ability to influence and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- demonstrated computer literacy, with some experience in data entry and MS Office
