Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations on-site, including managing subcontractors and ensuring smooth project execution.

Experience working on motorways services or retail fit-outs.

Experience:

Qualifications:

Key duties

• Support Governing Body Meetings: Organise, prepare agendas, and attend meetings to provide administrative support, take minutes, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Advise governors on statutory responsibilities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, policies, and educational regulations.
• Liaise with Stakeholders: Serve as the main point of contact between the governing body, senior leadership team, and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
• Coordinate Committee Activities: Manage the schedules, documentation, and action plans for various school committees, ensuring meetings are effective and meet governance requirements.
• Maintain Governance Records: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of governance activities, including meeting minutes, decisions, and policy reviews, for audit and legal purposes.
• Monitor and Report on Governance Activities: Track and report on governance performance, identifying areas for improvement and supporting continuous development within the governing body.

What we require for this role

• Previous experience in an administrative or governance-related role, ideally within an educational or public sector setting.
• Proven ability to accurately take minutes at meetings and produce clear, concise reports and documents.
• Experience of liaising and building relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership teams, governors, staff, and external agencies.
• Demonstrate an ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively, with experience of coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations alongside the finance team and manager. You'll be working with invoicing, orders and payments working on various financial systems and MS Office packages.

This finance role is to start ASAP until Spring 2025. We can consider both part time and full time applications for this role.

Your new role

• Inputting invoices and orders onto the system.
• Organise and maintain computerised and manual systems for the storage and retrieval of information and documents.
• Record and accurately log all transactions.
• Generate purchase orders and process invoices for payment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant finance qualifications or at least 12 months experience within a similar role.
• Excellent IT Skills, including using Excel and finance packages such as Sage, Access, FMS6, PS Financials (flexible on which ones).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ideally previous experience of working in an educational setting.
