The Human Resources Generalist provides support to the distribution center in the functional area of the Human Resources department, which may include collaborating with the Human Resources team on daily work assignments, as instructed by the Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Generalist provides direction and assistance with recruiting and staffing, personnel records, employee relations and manages leaves of absence. This position is knowledgeable of all facets of Human Resources and supports operational functions such as Labor Management, Incentive programs, and Accuracy programs. Essential Functions.

• Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all distribution center employees; assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures.

• Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.

• Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and projects.

• Follows up on the appraisal process in the distribution center.

• In partnership with the HR Manager, provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

• Respond to benefit questions in partnership with the Benefits team.

• Manage the leave of absence (LOA) administration in partnership with the HR Department.

• In partnership with the HR Manager, may participate in HR investigations, to include interviewing employees, obtaining written statements, and partnering with the Operations leaders.

• Manage and conduct new hire orientation for World Market employees, to include ensuring all required federal and state documents are completed properly and submitted via Workday within the required time frame.

• May participate in employee relations counseling, 90-day new hire check in, and exit interviewing.

• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

• Provides training for new and current employees on HR systems and procedures.

• Delegates projects as appropriate and assures coverage of front-line associate concerns in HR Coordinator’s absence.

• Oversees special events for staff by coordinating DC Calendar and schedules and staying within budget.

• Monitor and update the Human Resources Database, Workday and performance management systems.

• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY
