About the Company:
Join a well-established main contractor based in Accrington with a focus on traditional construction. As the company expands, we are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead a team consisting of an Assistant Estimator, Business Development Manager, Part-Time Estimator, and an Admin Assistant. The projects mainly involve public sector clients, and the Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in tendering, overseeing pricing, and contributing to the development of quality submissions.
Job Overview:
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for managing and leading the estimating team, contributing to the tendering process for public sector projects, and overseeing the pricing of contracts ranging from £250,000 to £5 million. The company primarily focuses on public sector work, including education, charity, ecclesiastical, and healthcare, covering both new build and refurbishment projects.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Oversee and lead a team of an Assistant Estimator, Business Development Manager, Part-Time Estimator, and an Admin Assistant.
Tendering Process: Play a key role in the tendering process, involving both pricing and contributing to quality submissions with the Business Development Manager.
Project Range: Manage contracts ranging from £250,000 to £5 million.
Sector Focus: Primarily focus on public sector projects, including education, charity, ecclesiastical, and healthcare.
Project Types: Cover both new build and refurbishment projects.
Company Turnover: Contribute to the growth of the company, with a current turnover of £19 million per year and rising.
Working Hours: Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an early finish on Fridays at 4:00 pm.
Remote Work: Some work from home is allowable but limited to necessity.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in traditional construction.
Strong leadership skills to manage and lead a diverse estimating team.
Familiarity with public sector projects, including education, charity, ecclesiastical, and healthcare.
Experience in both new build and refurbishment projects.
