We are looking for a customer-focused HR Systems Assistant, who will help us to deliver second line HR system query management across the University of Edinburgh, providing expert service, consistent advice and the best experience for our staff when they need HR system support.

The Opportunity:

Our fast-paced, friendly and supportive HR Team are on the lookout for an HR Assistant to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role can be based permanently in our Dundee office, or part of our hybrid working model where a minimum of 3 days will be spent in the office. If looking to work in a hybrid way, we will need you to live within a reasonable commute of our Dundee office.

The Role

This is an exciting and varied role where no two days are ever the same. Reporting to our HR Advisor, you’ll work closely with our colleagues in the North East of Scotland providing high level quality support and advice.

As our HR Assistant you’ll be responsible for organising and co-ordinating a wide range of tasks including but not limited to; managing day-to-day enquiries, preparing agendas and reports, minute taking, updating records, processing occupational health referrals and HR invoices along with diary management for our HR Lead and HR Advisors.

About You

For this opportunity, we are ideally looking for someone who has had some exposure to HR in a current or previous role, however, full training will be provided.

We'll need you to be supportive, approachable and solutions focused and have a passion for providing positive and meaningful support to our colleagues across our organisation.

POSITION : Assistant Land Surveyor

THE ROLE : This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join a well established and respected Consultancy and train as a Land Surveyor , covering all aspects of land and measured surveys . You will receive 1 to 1 training with an experienced Surveyor.
The role is 50/50 office/site based and every day/week will look different.
The role is Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours

DUTIES :

Attend a wide variety of sites (private properties/commercial warehouses/construction sites and everything in between) to provide millimetre accurate surveys. These drawings will typically be in the form of Topographical Survey drawings, building floor plans, elevations, sections, roof plans.
Assisting the current Land and Building Surveyor with day to day tasks both on site and in office.
Learning to use surveying equipment such as GNSS/GPS receivers, total station, laser scanner.
Learning to use AutoCAD, Leica Cyclone Reg360 and other surveying software.
Communication with clients. Being able to cater to their needs and offer advice where necessary.
Travel to sites predominantly across Yorkshire, occasionally nationwide.
Learn and assist with producing CAD drawings. Including floor plans, elevations, building sections and topographical surveys.
Organising workloads and meeting deadlines.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :

Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to manage your own workload and ensure deadlines are met.
An enthusiastic attitude and conscientious approach
Willingness to take on responsibility and be proactive.
Computer literate and interested in technology.
Experience of AutoCAD is desirable but not essential.
