The Assistant Accountant will support the AP and AR functions of the agency, ensuring accurate reporting and payments. This role requires someone with an attention to detail and a commitment to social service.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation (AP, AR and GL)
· Perform accounts reconciliation to resolve discrepancies
· Manage and monitor cash flows statements
· Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and assist in budgeting exercises
· Participate in financial audit
· Review and implement financial policies and procedures
· Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (e.g GST, Charity Accounting Standards, etc)
· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters pertaining to audit, grants and financial reporting
· Other ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time
Candidate Profile:
· Diploma / Degree in Accountancy
· 1 - 2 years of working experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
· Good time management and comfortable to work in fast-paced environment
· Experience in using an accounting system and MS Excel
· Attention to detail and able to work under pressure
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
