RoleOverview
In this role,you will primarily provide 1st line support for the business systems usedwithin our Head Office. You will also be part of the group IT Team, supportingall divisions. The emphasis will be on our main business ERP system, MicrosoftDynamics GP, and its supporting applications. Experience with this system or asimilar application is preferred. Technical knowledge of Microsoft applicationsand suites such as MS365, MS Server 2016/2022, and MS Windows 10/11 Pro wouldbe an advantage.
KeyResponsibilities

• Provide first line support to all users, requiring excellent people skills and strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Document user requirements accurately to liaise effectively with 2nd line support and 3rd party suppliers for application issues or bespoke customization.
• Manage installation and upgrades of applications.
• Provide end user training.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Maintain a flexible approach to working hours to support our remote office locations and the demands of the business.

KeySkills and Experience

• Good level of experience with Windows 10/11 Operating Systems and understanding of application infrastructure.
• Proficient in all MS365 Entra and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• Some experience in report writing and design.
• Experience in end user support using a helpdesk system and communicating resolutions in a timely manner.

Specific duties include:

• Perform a wide range of military HR actions in support of BDE HQs military personnel.
• Maintain a control log whereby leave and passes are tracked.
• Advise BDE on status of assigned HR actions, issues encountered, and recommends solutions, when appropriate.
• Performs mailroom duties to include receiving, sorting, and distributing mail.

• Provides regulatory guidance on all aspects of military personnel operations.
• Coordinates assignment instructions for all incoming and outgoing soldiers.
• Council's soldiers and eligible family members on retirement and separation processing.
• Assists retirement eligible personnel or family members with their elections for the Survivors Benefits Plan (SBP).
• Administers the authorization of benefits under the Former Spouse Protection Act.

Your new role
As a Technical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our technical operations. Within this role you will directly support the company\'s Operations Manager, project team as well as various global heads of departments. Your new role will be to provide a range of administrative support whilst helping to ensure efficient service delivery of all aspects relating to the operations team.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare, verify, check, and approve product documentation in accordance with client requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to maintain accurate records.
• Ensure accurate and auditable systems of work are implemented at all times
• Fully utilise and update management and reporting systems through various ERP systems to monitor working capital,i.e. revenue, work in progress and bad debts.
• Assist with departmental financial figures at month end before issuing to the finance department

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Extremely computer-literate in MS Packages & Adobe
• Demonstrate the ability to demonstrate and deliver engineering contracts
• Data collection and interpretation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with clients worldwide
• Experience of assisting in tender/ bid submission for projects (desirable)
• The ability to deal with complex invoicing with an understanding of the financial and commercial impact if not processed correctly
• Experience of handling Visa\'s rights to travel and organising this for staff members
• Ideally 5+ years in a contracts/ administrative or PA role
