The SVCBOC Nurse Manager will report to the Associate Chief Nurse Executive (ACNE), Outpatient Nursing Services. Your primary responsibility will be to inspire and motivate staff towards achieving high-quality and Veteran-centered outcomes as you oversee the day-to-day operations of the CBOC. The ACNE is prepared to support you as you undertake the complexities of leading through change, promote teamwork and a healthy work environment, coach teams for high performance, and make crucial workforce decisions.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Staff scheduling
- Making assignments that reflect the effective use of staff and prioritizes patient care needs
- Coaching, mentoring, educating
- Resolving, addressing, or reviewing employee conduct, performance, and patient care
- Working with labor partners
- Allocating, requesting and assessing resources
- Participating in the expansion of services provided at the SVCBOC
The SVCBOC Nurse Manager will be responsible for process improvement, customer service/Veteran satisfaction, safety, recruitment and retention of staff, employee relations, standards of care and practice, and accreditation/regulatory standards.
You will also be supported by: An Administrative Officer who will serve as the clinic/facility operations manager, collaborating with you for process improvements, project management, space reviews, and other administrative duties; a Clinical Director (provider) who manages the Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT) providers and will partner with you to make clinical decisions; a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) supervisor who manages the MSA staff; and, two PACT teams with nurses who are eager to work at the new CBOC. This role will be challenging but rewarding.
