We are looking for someone with exceptional leadership qualities who can motivate staff and work in conjunction with our dispensary services team across sites to manage and develop our dispensary services on the Bedford Hospital site.

The successful applicant will work closely with the site-based Principal Pharmacist (Operations & QA) and Head of Pharmacy as well as collaboration with leads at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital site.

The post holder will also be a key member of the senior pharmacy team on the Bedford site and be a key contributor to a number of cross site meetings including Pharmacy Operations and Clinical Governance.

1. Provide a high quality ward based clinical pharmacy service, rotating through nine 4 month rotations in cardiology/stroke/vascular surgery, endocrine/respiratory, gastroenterology/GI surgery, acute medicine, dispensary, geriatrics, trauma & orthopaedics, critical care/women & children and aseptic/oncology/haematology/clinical trials. An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead, develop and provide the day to day service of the established Pre-Operative Assessment clinic on the Bedford site. We are looking for an experienced clinical pharmacist with excellent personal, communication and leadership skills complemented by a strong background in managing surgical patients.

Day to day activities will include reviewing surgical patients to ensure that their medicines are optimised prior to their elective admission and to ensure that there is a clear medicines management plan in place. Prescribing Practice

We are excited to have an exciting new opportunity for Mental health assistant nurse to join our team. The Nursing Assistant - Children’s Mental Health Support is a key member of the direct care team who is additionally skilled in communication and therapeutic engagement with young people who have difficulties directly communicating their care needs.
