Remote VA PH is currently seeking an experienced Medical Biller with expertise in QuickBooks to join our client's healthcare team. This role involves handling all aspects of medical billing, payment posting, claims submission, and accounts management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, insurance guidelines, and proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial records and reconciliations
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Billing: Prepare, review, and submit medical claims to insurance companies.
- Claims Management: Handle denied or rejected claims, investigate and correct billing errors, and resubmit claims to maximize reimbursement.
- Accounts Receivable: Track and manage accounts receivable, follow up on unpaid claims, and initiate collections for overdue accounts.
- Payment Posting: Accurately post payments from insurance companies, government programs, and patients into the accounting system.
- QuickBooks Management: Utilize QuickBooks to record financial transactions, reconcile accounts, manage patient invoices, and generate financial reports.
- Patient Communication: Interact with patients to discuss billing issues, set up payment plans, and resolve any billing questions or disputes.
- Compliance: Ensure billing practices comply with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and insurance standards.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on revenue, outstanding accounts, and billing productivity for management review.
- Experience: Proven work experience in medical billing, with experience in QuickBooks required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT codes, and insurance claims processing.
- Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and billing software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing and financial records.
