Job Description:
· Manage and oversee the entire accounting team for all outlet in both Singapore and Malaysia.
· Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy.
· Oversee the processing of state and federal payroll taxes.
· Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers.
· Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.
· Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals.
· Report directly to the CEO and Company Director.
· Supervise the AR and AP operations to ensure timely and precise handling of invoices, payments, and collections.
· Manage the accounting of inventory to guarantee accurate tracking and valuation.
· Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams for precise inventory counts and reconciliations.
· Uphold internal controls to protect inventory and ensure reliable financial reporting.
· Ensure the timely and accurate publication of financial outcomes, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
· Coordinate with tax advisors on the filing and timely payment of various taxes (VAT, corporate tax, etc.) for each legal entity.
· Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable regulations.
· Maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and uphold financial accuracy.
Job Requirements:
• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with CPA/CA/ACCA qualifications
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the Listing Company, Beauty & Message industries.
• Prior experience of managing multiple retail outlets is highly preferred
• Have a flare for numbers, work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.
• Meticulous, organised and good attention to details
• Strong technical accounting foundations, and excellent commercial acumen.
• Strong experience in income statement analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and accounting system.
• Strong organizational, commercial, and business awareness, business analytical and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
• Great leadership skills
• Ability to engage with different stakeholders
• Problem-solving, initiative and negotiation skills
• Must be bilingual in English and Mandarin (in order to liase with mandarin speaking customers due to our TCM treatment)
